U of W LGBT* Collective
Minutes – January 6^th, 2003

 

 

1.  Reese

-         Reese will be attending a convention entitled True Spirit in Washington, and has the Collective, as well as various other groups, for funding.

-         Reese is also a past student of the U of W and was involved with the Collective.

-         The Collective has agreed to sponsor Reese for $150.  As part of this donation, Reese had offered to help us out when he can, i.e. workshops, presentations, and putting our logo on promotional materials.

 

 

2.  Games

-  Nina’s father has donated us roughly 10-15 computer games for use within the center.  They are by the printer so feel free to check them out!

 

 

3.  Books

-         We need to go shopping to get the books on our list; we’ll probably go over a few days to McNally Robinson, Mondragon, and Borealis books.

 

 

4.  Office Supplies

-         We’ll start a list; write down whatever you think we need.

 

 

5.  Gender Week

-         Due to hassles with liquor licenses and mandatory staffing issues, we have collective decided to not have booze available during the Drag Show.

-         In means of posters, we will have 3 big posters within the center windows, and Elisheva will make small posters for the rest of the campus

-         On Thursday we will be making the big posters, so any time on Thursday, feel free to help out.

-         All the posters will be done by Friday.

-         We will look at putting an ad in the Uniter, and Nina will be working on an article, with Kegan’s help of course!

 

 

6.  Day Of Action

-         Margaret has asked for any one who would want to volunteer in any way for the Day Of Action.  There are tons of spots available, so let Kendra, Nina, Michelle, or Margaret know if you’d like to help.
