¿Ballet Folklórico?

What is ballet folklórico, you may ask?  Well, ballet is French for dance; folk defines people, or an ethnic group; lore is defined as accumulated fact, tradition or belief about a particular subject; and, -ic is the suffix meaning of, pertaining to, or characterized by.  Therefore, ballet folklórico is defined as the accumulated dance traditions of an ethnic group or, as I prefer to simplify it, "the story of a people through dance".
