De sexing You Dog Or Bitch (Pet Puppies ) ORANGE PAPERWORK . UMKIMZULU CONTRACT STATES THAT DOG OR BICH PURCHASED AS A PET MUST BE DE SEXED BY 12 MONTHS OF AGE.. There are many advantages to having your dog de sexed. Both dogs and bitches are usually de sexed between 6-12 months of age .. Your veterinary surgeon will be more than happy to discuss the details with you. Puppy Growth (FEEDING YOUR NEW PUPPY ) By the time a puppy is ready to move to his new home, he will be fully weaned onto solid foods. The puppy is now entirely dependent on you to provide a fully balanced diet that will meet all of its nutritional requirements. A nutritionally balanced diet is crucial for the healthy growth and development of a puppy in order to prepare him for an active, long and healthy life. Puppies thrive on the same basic nutrients as adult dogs, but owing to their rapid growth rate, these nutrients are needed in proportionately larger quantities. All puppies grow very rapidly in the early stages of their development and, in general, most breeds reach about half their adult weight by four or five months of age. During this early, very rapid growth phase, all puppies should be fed a puppy food specifically designed for growing dogs. Umkimzulu will supply you with a few days of food ,your booklet will also give you lots of information about feeding your puppy we also give you information about the BARF DIET . Puppy Pre School (We INSIST THAT EACH PUPPY ATTEND ) Please contact your vet they can tell u all about puppy pre school its very important to attend . In the booklett we give you lots of information on going its loads of fun for your pup and the family . Basic Obedience .(WE INSIST THAT EACH PUPPY ATTEND ) In this course, you will be able to achieve a fundamental level of control with your dog. You will learn to communicate effectively with your dog and thus create a greater bond with it. Socialisation and sociability training is integral to the program. Because of the structured course, each week you will be taught a series of new exercises, which you will need to practice each day to become proficient. In this manner you will achieve clear objectives in your training, through simple yet effective means. Class size are normally small This ensures that each person is given individual help with their problems and exercises. Also, dog owners are taught by the same Instructor each week. What you and your dog will learn: Heel on lead, Social Walking, Sit at Heel, Stand on command with hand signal, Drop on command with hand signal, Sit and Drop Stay at 5 metres distance, Recall (come when called), sociability exercises and much more. |

Our dogs are beloved companions first and foremost, show and obedience and coursing dogs second. We take great pride in our owner-handling our dogs in activities as we feel it strengthens the canine/human bond and teaches us even more respect for our incredible versatile breed . All or dogs are house dogs and we insist upon this in our placements ,as the Ridgeback is a breed that thrives in the company of people . We are committed to the preservation of our breed’s standard .always striving to maintain stability of temperament ,correct and sound structure ,balanced movement and excellent health .To that end ,we study breed history and pedigree’s in-depth and require that potential breeding stock undergo clearances for structure ,heath and temperament . An extremely important part of our lives here at Umkimzulu is our extended family which has grown out of positive breeder/owner family relationships .We are always available to our people and our dogs and are very concerned with the life long happiness ,well being and security of every Ridgeback born here . |
