 [Life]
- Time flies.. and together with it, more changes, and memories, gonna keep this short for once, enjoy the photos..
- Merry Christmas 2003!! Happy 2004!! Happy Chinese New Year!! Happy V-Day!! Can't believe it has been so many months...

 [Work]
- In a blink of an eye, I have been with M1 for nearly 9 months, have met and known many new friends, saw and experience people come and go in life and heeded much advice. Still, the only time I flipped the recruitment was trying to help my friend look out for a job. Many has asked me why I never go find another job, there's really not much a reason to it. Currently I'm happy with my work and perhaps that's what really matters most.
- Oh yes, something to share that I've realised.

"Teamspirit... is when you leave or someone leaves, you know you will miss them..."

- To the jobseekers out there, don't give up and learn to adjust your expectations, work and show you are worthy, not show that you are worthy and work. You are not alone, I have been through what some of you are experiencing and I can tell you many had too. At such times, throw in as many baits as possible and not choose a "right" spot and throw in one bait.

- Hi, how have everyone been? Hope everyone's surviving fine. I have so much so much that I wanted to say, but realised that though I know it's a great thing to be able to share my experiences and try to reach out to people everywhere in this world, time, in reality, is restricted for us to spend too much time in the virtual world.

- This update is dedicated to the people I had met over the last few months, especially to those that had let me be part of their story in the last 4 weeks.

 [Website]
- "Ultrandy's Memoria, my friend":
It has been so long since I have updated this Ultrandy's Memoria, right now, this very moment when I am once again updating this website, I realise I missed this website so much...so very very much... I realised how important it is to me... Though I created this website myself, over the years, I have slowly transform into a different role, Ultrandy's Memoria is by itself, it lives...and I realise it had become a friend, for all my friends, and myself. I have recorded so much contents and emotions over the years, which has act as a reminder to myself that I have been through so much in life, and met so many people through my journey. I shall carry on my best to keep this website alive.

- "Technical Issues":
When I revisited UM (Ultrandy's Memoria) recently, found out that the fonts have been changed while viewed on my system, hope the layout and fonts had not affected too much on your viewing media. I look forward to being able to afford a server on my own to transfer all these memories there. Right now, depending on free web space on cyberspace still feels unstable to me, and I certainly don't wish to lose everything on this UM.

- "New Guests to UM, my sincere welcome":
Over the last few months, I am fortunate to meet several new friends during my part time, interviews, and the latest, my workplace. It's my honour to play host to these people who will be part of my story, and part of this Memoria.

My peers at M1 with our Mentor, Deborah.
- Valerie from my causeway point part time. Elle, Kanglin, Ningqing from my past interviews. Angeline, Limin, Christine, Louise, Shan Shan, Regina, Jason, Yeanhus, Valerie, Gladys, Ashlynn, Deborah, Kenneth, Tsuey Jen, Eileen, Adrian, Benson, Janet...and all those who have visited this Memoria from M1. (It's a new challenge for me to have both colleagues and superiors in this UM, but I seek all understanding to treat UM just like story book of someone's life, and that in UM, all of us are Friends.)

[Chapter Work: Part 1: M1 Training]

- As some of you already know, I have been successfully integrated with MobileOne Ltd as Customer Service Officer, Service Center on the 1st July 2003. I have just completed my 1st month training and will be having on job training for the next 3 months, after which evaluation will be done if I will be ending my probation, as a confirmed staff. For this part, I shall break into the 4 weeks of training.

- " Week 1: Orientation"
My first day reporting to my first job, my feelings are calmer than I thought. Perhaps, I still feel unrest, because I am still at a split road, a split road between interests and career, one split road which I thought I could be choosing, but one that I realise, like many things in life, it's not up to us to. Between the 2 choices, I told myself whichever comes, I will put in my best, and it shall be the one for me. Into my 3rd day at work, I was destined to be with M1. No one feels great to be rejected, especially when it was so close, it wasn't my first time, in fact I was so close so many times...yet... i was disheartened so many many times too... each I knew...I had put in so much effort. Anyway, since the route is paved, I told myself, I will now give my best to M1!!! Yeah!!!

Met so many new people!! And also introduced to so many executives and superiors within M1 too, and also so impressed that most of them can actually remember the names of my batch trainees (13 including me). It's a warm feeling to feel acknowledge by them. And if a company is going to give an impression to any new staff, it's starts from Day One, and I have no doubt that this company did it well.

1. My necklace I bought from Thailand which i wore since few months back, didn't have much luck in my job search for the last few months, strangely, it snapped for no reason the first day I came M1. It seems to be telling me that this will be the place for me, and strange enough, 2 days later, I was rejected from my pending interview from SLA. Hmm...
2. Yup, that's me during my training in M1. :>
3. Sunshine Team 1!! That's us!! Andy, Regina, Shan shan and Christine, we are the Unbeatables!! ;p
4. Studying for my test while I watch Saj practice golf at VW, and I thought I will not be studying again after I graduated from Uni, haha.

In summary, I finally found a 'home' and had move on in life after these few months. I have nothing but good feelings about this company so far. It was also this week when we got to know people like Deborah, Janet and Tsuey Jen due to our curriculum.

- " Week 2: Sunshine Team 1"
Working with Christine, Regina and Shan shan, we form the Sunshine Team 1 to spearhead the activity, as we were all performance driven enough to challenge ourselves to strive for the best batch, we decided to throw in our best whatever we can from this moment. Boy, it was fun working with my team-mates and getting the support from the our trainees. Hope you guys will not forget us, namely Christine (Core Value I/C), Regina (Exercise I/C), Andy (Game I/C) and Shan shan (Sunshine Buddy I/C).

This week proves to be tiring for me, juggling with tests, part time assignments from school after work and with the Sunshine team activities, but it was manageable overall, though tiring, it was enjoyable, it's been a while since I enjoyed myself like this, remembering those days when I just entered University during orientation.

2. Tsuey Jen walking around the room looking at the girls doing the Angel's Mailbox.
3. A present from Sunshine Team 1 with our batch photo and photos of sunshine teams.

In summary, what i learnt this week is work can be fun too, but i also knew this was just the tip of the iceberg (quoting from Kenneth). This will probably be the time which is more "relax" for us, because after our training, that's where our work really starts. And whether work can be fun still in future? It really lies in your own hands.... This week also marks the entry of Kenneth as our trainer, haha boy... is he popular with all of us. Thanks Kenneth for making training fun at the same time. :> Haha, and we still could not figure out your age still.

- " Week 3: Reality "
This week was eventful, and reminded most of us, that we are in the actual working world, and things are realistic in life. Middle of the week, one of our peer left us due to some reasons. It wasn't easy for everyone, over just 2 weeks, most of us had grown attached. But everyone handled the situation very well, and I am comforted, that most of us took the event well, and most of us grew from it too. Once again, no body hoped for it to happen, but somethings are pretty destined, I learnt the rule the hard way too. In life, many only realise how important something is to them only when they lose them.. so please let us treasure whatever we have right now.

The event made all of us work even harder, knowing things did not come easily in life, we should treasure and work hard to maintain what we are given right now.

- "Week 4: The Final Lap"
This week was tiring...very tiring, still i look forward to each working day. After commencement over the weekend, prepared for another major assessment on Monday, then following few days after work, trying to upload photos that I have taken during training to the internet. My monitor was spoilt, so I had to rush down to Sim Lim after work to look for another, wanted to save money by buying a 2nd hand one, but went for a new CRT 15" as the price difference wasn't too great. Nevertheless, that did not change the fact that I need to bring it back manually via bus, boy it was tiring....

Thursday marks a day for me, to meet up with my school friends for a dinner back in NUS, and before that I need to rush down to Bugis Junction M1 CSC, to collect my unifrom, and best of all, Friday was the final day of my training with 2 major assessments. I contemplated for a long time, deciding if I should spend more time practicing and revising back in office and giving the dinner a miss...haha...at least I took photos with my friends during the dinner.... I did well for my afternoon test, but not for the morning one, like any human, i naturally felt disappointed with myself that I must be the one to stain an, otherwise, flawless team for their graduation. And I am very disappointed with myself too, all the efforts I had put in to maintain a standard i set for myself over the last few weeks, I must spoilt it at the very last moment. But i kept telling myself, I must pick myself up from the pit, perhaps, once again, somethings are destined to be like the way it is... but like any other who is in my shoes, it wasn't easy not to feel bad.

(From left to Right)
1. Picture of the girls and Deborah crossing the road during lunch.
2. Yup, that's the heavy monitor which I carry back via bus. -_-.....
3. Taking some memories during training.

(From left to Right)
4. Nice picture, with all the girls in my batch.
5. That's me, in the seat which I attended most of my lessons and tests.
6. These are the four which will be posted to Customer Service Center with our 1st payslip, yeah...after so long, I can finally buy a replacement pair of sandals soon!! [To buy a pair of sandal with my first pay has been a 'goal' since i left school, haha, finally, though it took a while...]

To tell the truth, I did set a goal for myself, to be best trainee, and I can see several of us in my batch did too. And  that's a good thing, because the healthy competition helped everyone to work harder, in our ultimate goal for the Best Batch Award. I knew, like the rest, this goal will not be easy, and thus i can see everyone working hard and doing their very best every single day. But seriously. I enjoyed myself thoroughly every single day, please trust me, everything I did, wasn't for any reason, it's really from the bottom of my heart. So until the last day, I thought my results was maintained reasonably enough to be in the competition. When I knew that I performed much very much under par for the morning test, I already knew I was out of the competition. Pity, yes it is, not because I did not get the award, but because I had deprive myself of a competition for the award.

But I remembered what my Mentor said during the award well, everyone has their own idea of their role model, and being the role model, the challenge is to maintain yourself as one to them. Then I realise the significance of the statement, everyone of us are role models to another in this world, just as I had voted for some of them as my role model, there will be some who had supported me as one, and thus, everyone of us are role models, and thus making all of us, best trainees. And though there was only one best trainee, everyone had gained so much more in life than the award itself during the process, right? Yup, that's right!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!! Thanks Ultrandy, you have just help me thought through it!!

Haha...anyway, I felt so much better now, guys (and girls), you people are the best man!! I will definitely miss you guys, the constant supply of food by my carer (Louise), the constant concern showered upon me by Christine, the 'faith' Angeline has in me by being so sure I am her carer (-_-), the ever cheerful face by Limin, the ever supportive Shan shan, the so well composed Regina, our funny Man Jason, the unlimited words of concern by Yeanhua (my coffee kaki), our Tomato Queen Gladys, the mischievous stick-out-tongue look by Valerie, the always smiling face by Ashlynn, and the strength that Josephine has showed, bringing courage to all of us, not forgetting all the 4 A's that our trainers from LDS has shown to us through their guidance. All these will become part of my story, my Memoria, and part of me. Thanks everyone.....
