Nick watched in boredom as the others were throwing themselves against each other on the dance floor. He knew he was being petty and that if he had a girlfriend he would be doing the same thing, but the simple fact was that he didn't, and the one that he thought he wanted was taken. AJ and Katie were practically molded together as they moved as one to the music. As he watched he got jolted suddenly. Looking over annoyed, he quickly thought of a kind but firm way to tell the fan that he didn't want to dance right now, and of how to hide his hand.
"Carters! What's up hun!" Kaylie laughed as she plunked down next to Nick on the bench. Nick stared at her in surprise as he began to blush.
"Um, you ok there Kaylie?" He asked quietly as he hoped that the dark lights from the club hid his red cheeks. Apparently they didn't as Kaylie soon leaned over and pinched them in a grandma-like way.
"Aww, Carter's a bit embarrassed there isn't he!" She laughed again. Nick stared at her strangely. Ya, she had been nice to him when he hurt himself, but that was different. This was public. Suddenly it hit him.
"Kaylie, have you been drinking?" He asked quietly as a smirk played upon his lips. Kaylie made a funny face.
"No sir! Brian wouldn't approve! AJ doesn't really mind too much though." She said in a very strict tone, then suddenly burst out in giggles. Nick groaned.
"I have the SLIGHTEST feeling that he may find out Kaylie." He chucked to himself as he watched her in her carefree ways.
"Ya, well, I'm having fun! Come on! Brian's gettin some more of his boring old man drinks, let's dance!" She said pulling on his good hand. Nick recoiled immediately. I shouldn't be touching her! He yelled to himself. But she grabbed your hand! She touched YOU Nick! He fought with himself inwardly. Kaylie didn't seem to notice as she tugged at him again.
"Come on Carter! I wanna see how you move." She said huskily as she seductively ran her fingers down his chest. Nick started blush again as he felt himself give into her and follow her onto the dance floor. He quickly scanned the area for where Brian was and found no trace of him. Still, he followed cautiously behind her. When they finally reached where Kaylie wanted to dance she started to, but Nick stood still. Kaylie seemed a bit perturbed, but went with it.
"Carter, come on now. Lemme see you swaaayyy!" She laughed at her own joke as she began dancing closely to Nick. Nick took in a deep breath as Kaylie placed her arms around his neck and started grinding with him. As much as he didn't want to, well, he WANTED to, but didn't feel it was going to help anything, he began to move along with her. I shouldn't be doing this! He yelled to himself. Brian's going to see us any second and loose it! I'm dancing, well, practically groping, his girlfriend, who I'm supposed to detest, in PUBLIC no less! He kept telling himself over and over, but the fact was that he was doing nothing to stop himself from continuing to dance with Kaylie. He looked at her as she ran her hands through his hair grinning. Screw it. He thought to himself wildly as he gently placed his hands on her hips and began to move himself with her like he meant it. Who cared if Brian saw them? He'd never think I actually LIKE her anyway. Nick laughed to himself as he moved Kaylie to the music.
AJ laughed from where he and Katie were sitting at the bar. They had a great view of what was going on on the floor between Kaylie and Nick.
"You think she's drunk?" Katie laughed as she continued to watch them from where she was sitting. AJ peered at Kaylie for a sec, turned back to Nick, then looked at where Brian was waiting for drinks and grinned.
"Yup!" He laughed. "This is gonna be good! To think, it's a Kodak moment and here I am without my camera!" He joked as Katie swatted at him.
"You don't think he'll take advantage of her cause she's drunk do you?" Katie asked quietly as she watched them. AJ pulled her up off the stool and placed Katie on his lap, wrapping his arms around her waist gently.
"No, not Nick. Especially when Brian's all of fifty yards away. They don't even like each other, it's the alcohol affecting them right now." AJ whispered in her ear, causing Katie to shudder ever to slightly.
"You'd never take advantage of me if I was like that, would you Alex?" She said huskily as she slightly bent her neck to give AJ more access to it. He grinned ever so slightly and started to gently kiss it.
"Only if you wanted me to." He joked as he pulled away. Katie looked at him and smirked.
"How about a little fun then, Alex." She smirked as she placed a hand on his chest and set her drink down.
"Bartender! Alex here's going to do a body shot. Care to help us out?" She smiled at the guy behind the bar as he handed over the shot, salt, and lime. AJ's eyes widened at what Katie was saying. Impatiently he pulled on her arm.
"Katie! What're you doing?? I mean, not that I don't want to DO it, but..." He trailed off as Katie handed him the salt.
"So you want to." She smirked as she sat back down on his lap, gently placing her arms around his neck.
"Well, ya, but, but, Katie, are you drunk??" AJ stuttered. Any other time the shot would've already been done and over with by now, but something was different about Katie. She got to him, in a way that no other woman had ever been able to him. She made him nervous, which turned him on.
"Maybe, maybe not. Could just be the alcohol talking. It's up to you." She grinned slyly as she leaned in towards his ear. "You said you would if I wanted to. I thought you were supposed to be the bad boy, Alex." She whispered tauntingly into his ear. AJ wasted no more time and grabbed the "ingredients" and went to work. Smirking, he picked Katie off of his lap. She looked at him confused.
"You're really not going to do this?" She questioned sadly, as if rejected. AJ placed a quick kiss on her lips before grinning again.
"You're right about the bad boy image, a neck shot just won't do for you! Sweetheart, would you please lie down?" He smiled cockily at Katie as he watched her face go from confusion to realization and then anticipation.
"So you're going to play that way Alex?" She said sexily as she quickly swept away the glasses and mugs that littered the bar before slowly lifting herself up to sit on it, then laying back exposing her stomach. AJ looked down from her face to her stomach, and back to her face before smirking again.
"Damn straight sweetheart." AJ replied as he poured the tequila into her bellybutton making her shiver slightly. He then quickly leaned down and licked off the salt from her stomach and sucked out the tequila being sure to tickle Katie as best he could with his tongue, before moving up to her mouth which held the lime. AJ could tell she was smiling from behind her grip on the slice as he moved into to grab it. His lips softly trapped hers as they went around the lime, capturing it. Then, with a jerk of his head, he spit out the lime quickly and continued to kiss her. In the midst of their world AJ felt a hand begin to rapidly tap his arm.
"ALEXANDER! A moment of your time PLEASE!" Someone shouted at him. As he broke away from Katie he inwardly groaned. Turning around he found an angry Kevin glaring at him with dark eyes. He looked back down at Katie quickly and gulped. He stood up and cautiously walked towards Kevin, fearing for his life (Ha! Can't you see this! Poor AJ!!) before he heard Katie behind him.
"Wait. Kevvy, you can have Alex later. Tonight he's mine." Katie grinned sweetly as she swung her legs over the side of the bar, jumping down. Grasping AJ's arm he and she walked off, leaving an annoyed Kevin behind.
Kaylie looked up at Nick as he put his hand gently on her waist and moved closer to her.
"What would Brian think right now if he saw you?" She whispered into his ear, sending chills up and down his back. Nick started to answer how he didn't much care because at the moment he wanted to be near to Kaylie so bad that nothing else mattered, in less words, when the song that matched his exact thoughts and feelings began to play.

"Don't worry about it." He muttered slightly as he listened to the lyrics. Kaylie looked up at him as she too listened.
"What makes you think I was worrying?" She grinned as she moved closer to him. Nick gulped slightly as he concentrated on not getting too worked up with Kaylie so close when she again surprised him. If it wasn't enough that she asked him to dance, but she opened up her mouth and started to sing. Nick stared at her in awe as he continued to move to the music.

As she stopped for a moment to see his reaction Nick spoke up first.
"Why didn't you ever tell us you could do that?" He said quietly. Kaylie looked at him mysteriously.
"You never asked Carter, you just never asked." She said before starting to sing again. Nick smirked as he held her close as they rocked back and forth together.

They continued to dance and Kaylie to sing as Nick's eyes wandered the dance floor. Finally they came to stop on Brian walking over to their table and setting down their drinks. His eyes fell upon the dance floor but Nick was thankful that he didn't seem to notice Kaylie and him. Looking down he saw Kaylie singing softly with her eyes closed and he smiled at the sight.
"What you grinning about Carter? Think you're funny or something?" She laughed, eyes still closed. Nick looked at her in dismay.
"I could feel you looking at me." She whispered into his ear, once again sending chills up and down his spine. She wrapped her arms tighter around his neck and cocked her head to the side, looking up into his blue eyes.
"You think I'm irresistible, don't you." She said as more of a statement than question. Before he had a chance to answer she began singing again. Nick was left speechless.

As he stood there thinking about what he was going to say to her he felt a tap on his shoulder. Looking up he found a grinning Brian looking him straight in the eyes.
"Nicky gettin some action with my girl?" Brian laughed as he placed a hand protectively on Kaylie's waist. Panicking, Nick felt his face turn red.
"No! Never!" He said quickly. Brian looked at him strangely before pulling Kaylie to him and wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Next song's mine ok? Miss. Star." He said softly to her. Nick stood there staring. They were so cute together, and here he was wanting his best friends heart to be broken. You're so selfish Nick! Brian's HAPPY. Kaylie's HAPPY. Get over it! He screamed to himself. Hearing his name he snapped back to reality.
"You wanna finish the song Carter?" Kaylie asked, but Nick just walked off without answering as Brian held onto her tightly.
