"Hey J, don't you think we should be heading back?" Howie asked as he and AJ departed Splash Mountain. They were both soaked yet didn't seem to care. They started to walk away when they noticed a few people peering at them suspiciously.

"Hey D, what they lookin at us for?" AJ whispered over to him while looking curiously back at the girls.

"I dunno. Why?" Howie said as he looked over at AJ. His heart dropped and his eyes widened.

"Crap! We've got to get out of here!" Howie shouted at him.

"Why? What's the matter?" AJ asked nervously.

"OMIGOD!! LOOK!! IT'S THEM!! IT'S REALLY THEM!!" One girl shouted. The others started screaming and running over to them.

"AJ AND HOWIE!! FROM BACKSTREET BOYS!! LOOK, IT'S REALLY THEM!!" They yelled as Howie and AJ panicked. They were trapped between rides and fans.

"How'd they know?!" AJ shouted to Howie.

"Your shirt, it's soaked, you can see your tattoos through it! And you lost your hat on the ride! AJ!!" Howie groaned.

"We're gonna be trampled!" AJ yelled as more and more girls ran around corners. Apparently the word was out.

Suddenly they felt an arm grab them. Yanking back they saw Jasmine standing there.

"Come on! Before you get us BOTH into a lot of trouble!" She said as she continued to pull them into the ride. The girls were gaining on them and Howie and AJ followed as closely as possible, afraid that if they got lost it'd be the end of them. Finally reaching safety in the back of a building they all collapsed and caught their breath.

"We've got to find a way to get you out of here." Jasmine said still gasping for breath. "You've got to meet with the others at noon and I still have to get ready! There's no WAY I'm meeting Kevin looking like this!" She went on. Howie and AJ just stood slack jawed staring at her.

"Um, run that one by me again?" AJ stuttered out.

"Ya, how do you know our plans? And how do you know Kevin for that matter?" Howie said slowly.

Jasmine dismissed their questions with a flick of her hand and began rummaging through a pile of clothes that lay all over the room.

"Let's see here...you'll never get out of here alive without something more sufficient on...this'll just have to do!" She said holding up two costumes and grinning evilly.

"Just what do you think you're going to do with those?" AJ asked nervously playing with his rings.

"Look around! Where do you think we are? What do you THINK I'm doing?" She said throwing her arms up allowing them to take in where they stood. She laughed at their expressions.

"You're, you're going to turn us into Disney freaks!" Howie yelped.

"Well, I prefer to call it saving your ass, but you know, whatever floats your boat!" She said grinning. "Now! Before the teenyboppers figure out where you are! Get into one of these and we've got to go!" She tossed them a costume. They looked at the fabric skeptically.

"Hey! Don't call our fans teenyboppers! They're, just, some of them, little people!" Howie tried to cover up. AJ shook his head adamantly in agreement.

"Must we really do this??" AJ begged.

"Man, and I thought it was Nick who was the obsessive whiner. Yes. You must. Or be torn apart. You're call..." She said turning around so they could throw on the outfits. Peeking at them changing she grinned. Damn, I love my job!

Kaylie and Brian walked about the park just enjoying each other's company. Hardly saying a word to each other they were content being around the other person; they had a silent trust between them. Stopping suddenly Kaylie tightened her hold on Brian's hand. He turned and looked at her with alarm. Her face appeared to be as white as a sheet and she was so slightly trembling. Her eyes, wide with hurt and horror, slowly filled with tears. Following her stare Brian saw a man and a woman. They appeared just as much a couple as Brian and Kaylie did. Taking a moment to comprehend he quickly took in a deep breath and pulled Kaylie to him.

"Shh. It's ok baby doll. Let it all out." He murmured to her as she sobbed against his chest. Glancing over to the happy couple his eyes widened again. Maybe she didn't notice. She couldn't have. She only looked over for less than a second. He forced himself to think. Looking down at Kaylie she stared up at him. Seeing the fear in his eyes she whispered.

"Bri, what?" Following his eyes back to where Ryan and the woman stood she seemed to harden at the sight of her hand.

"They're, they're married." She said harshly. Brian grimaced at her tone. He'd only heard her voice that way a few times, never did he enjoy it.

"Come on, let's go. We've got to go meet the others soon anyway, we'll just get there early." Brian said gently helping her up.

"No." She said defiantly. Brian shook her head. Kaylie was one of the most stubborn people he'd ever met. Once she made up her mind about something there was rarely ever the possibility of her backing out. This decision, he feared, would be made out of hurt. I never would hurt her like that! Brian thought to himself.

"No, I think we should go say hi to the happy couple." Kaylie said bitterly. She held her head up high and made her way over to where Ryan and his wife stood. Brian jogged to catch up.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked in hushed tones.

"Yes! If he thought I was stupid enough to be cheated on, and all along he was MARRIED, then YES, I am sure about this!" She said sharply putting on a fake smile as they neared.

"You don't know that. Maybe they just got married!" Brian said then grimaced the second it was out of his mouth.

"Oh great! So for years I wasn't good enough to marry but the day after he dumps me he goes off and finds someone who is?? I don't think so Bri." She muttered.

"Kaylie, you know I love you right?" Brian said as they were feet away from them.

"Ya Bri. I love you too. Don't worry about me!" She said in a warm tone. She took his hand for support and tapped Ryan on the shoulder. As he turned around Brian felt her squeezing his hand.

"Ryan?" She said coolly. Ryan's eyes grew large as his wife jealously grabbed a hold of his arm.

"Kaylie?!" He squeaked.

"Coincidence seeing you here. With another woman. Wife should I say?" Kaylie said inspecting the woman's hand up close.

"Ya, well, you know..." He stuttered. Kaylie brightly turned to the woman and smiled.

"How rude of me! I'm Kaylie, nice to meet you." She said cheerfully.

"Oh yes! The woman Ryan's worked with for so long! It's so nice to finally meet you! I'm Mackienze, they call me Max." She said shaking Kaylie's hand. Kaylie dropped it as if it was on fire.

"Excuse me? I work with Ryan?" She asked.

"Why, yes. Aren't you the same Kaylie that he's worked with? He's always talked about how he's had to stay after and go on business trips with you. I'm sure the name was Kaylie, wasn't it sweetie?" She asked turning to Ryan who's face had turned as white as a sheet. She appeared oblivious to her surroundings and the tension between the two.

"So! How long have you been married?" Kaylie eagerly asked, smile once again upon her face.

"Oh, it's been exactly a year today! It's our anniversary. He's the love of my life! I mean, we just trust each other so much. I don't think he'd ever do anything to hurt me." She said smiling brightly. Brian and Kaylie both gasped at the same time. He knew what was coming.

"Baby doll, you don't have to do this. Just get on with your life." He whispered into her ear. She simply ignored him and turned to Ryan.

"Ryan, I believe I still have quite a few of your things at my house. You left so abruptly yesterday I didn't have time to pack them up for you. You know, it's amazing how many of your things I've collected over the years." She spat out at him. Turning to Max she grabbed her had and looked again at the ring.

"I sure hope for your sake that you believe the load of crap you just spouted off to me. By the way, I'm not the Kaylie that Ryan works with. There IS no Kaylie Ryan works with. I'm the Kaylie that the "love of your life" has been dating for years now. Happy anniversary!" She said sweetly as she watched Ryan's face fall in horror of what just happened.

"Ryan, payback's a bitch isn't it." Kaylie said dryly as she turned and walked off, still holding on tightly to Brian's hand. Once out of site she walked into the nearest women's restroom dragging Brian inside. She stood there trembling, tears streaming down her face. Brian held her and rocked her back and forth.

"How. How could he do that to me? And how could I fall for it?" She cried clinging tighter to him.

"I don't know. I don't know how someone could hurt you like that." Brian whispered. I'd love her more than that! Damn him! Who is he to think that he could hurt her like that?! He thought as an idea overcame him.

"Come on, we've got to go meet the guys, and then you're coming to the radio station with us ok?" He said gently. She nodded her head and stood up. Looking into the mirrior she stuck her tongue out in protest.

"I look like shit." She said dryly.

"Naw, you look beautiful as normal!" Brian said quickly, a smile on his face. She sure does jump back fast. He thought.

"So you're saying I usually look like shit?" She joked as she began to fix her face as best she could.

"Well, I wouldn't go THAT far..." He teased.

"Brian! Come here!" She demanded stomping her foot. He slowly walked over to where she stood afraid of being hit. A woman walked into the restroom, saw the two of them in there, gasped as her face flushed, and immediately turned back around and left. They both quietly laughed before Kaylie looked at him.

He's got the most gorgeous eyes! And he's so sweet. I don't know why this never dawned on me before. Why couldn't I have picked HIM instead? Look at him. He's perfect. She thought as she stared into his eyes. Brian returned her stare as he began to blush. She's so beautiful, so out of my league. I don't know why I ever thought I could have her. But look at her. She IS just standing there staring at me. Maybe she feels it too?! He thought as his heart quickly sped up.

"Bri, I, I just wanted to thank you. For everything. I know no one else who would put up with me like you do. You're, you're just so sweet. And always there for me." She said slowly as she took a step closer to him. Resting her arms around his neck she leaned into him. "I just want you to know, well, that I love you, and that, well..." She said sheepishly as she dropped her head onto his shoulder. He smiled as he could see her blushing.

"That what?" Brian asked raising her head up. He looked deeply into her eyes and slightly nodded for her to go on.

"That, well, just thanks." She said smiling. She leaned into him and started to kiss his cheek, but at the last moment moved and ended up hitting his lips. Pulling back in shock Brian stared at her wide eyed. She kissed me! She really kissed me! His brain screamed out to him. Kaylie blushed and walked out of the bathroom. Brian ran a hand through his hair hurriedly ran to catch up with her, grabbing her hand to stop her.

"Kay? Care to elaborate as to what that was about?" He asked shakily. She slyly grinned and squeezed his hand.

"Later Bri...later." She said.

I can't believe I just did that! And it came so easily! What the hell is up with me? Am I crazy? I mean, this is BRI we're talking about. Part of Kaylie's mind screamed at her. Ya, but this is BRI, I mean, just look at him. Why SHOULDN'T I feel this way? I wonder why I didn't see it sooner. The other side of her yelled out.

They walked along in silence the rest of the way. Both felt at ease with their admissions as they possibly could, yet frightened and awkward too. Brian squeezed Kaylie's hand in reassurance as they sat down next to Kevin on a bench outside of the castle. He eyed them suspiciously before speaking.

"So, what have you two been up to?" He asked slowly still trying to decide if the fact that Brian and Kaylie suddenly looked somewhat uncomfortable around one another was for a reason or if he was just seeing things. The two looked at each other quickly and Kevin could tell that some sort of silent agreement had been made as they relaxed and sat down on the bench with him.

"Oh, nothing much." Brian said smiling as he threw his arm around Kaylie's shoulder.

"Ya, nothing much." Kaylie whispered in response.

"Y'all sure?" Kevin persisted as Nick walked up.

"Sure about what?" Nick asked sitting down next to Kevin.

"These two. I can't decide if they're just being how they are normally, or if they're being extra cozy (Cozy again! Ha! Love that word!!) Today." He said slowly.

Nick's heart dropped. Quickly trying to regain his composure before the others noticed he shook of the feeling of dread that had settled over him.

"Naw, Kev, you're just looking to far into it. They're always like this. Anyway, where's that girlfriend of mine. I thought you got stuck with her today." He said laughing dryly.

"Who the hell knows." He grinned. "I pretty much told her I didn't want to hang with her today."

"Kevin! You didn't get me in MORE trouble did you?" Nick muttered his laugh quickly disappearing.

"I dunno. Not really my problem Nick." Kevin stated.

"He's got a point there Carter. She IS your girlfriend as much as you may not her to be." Kaylie said. She brushed away the feeling that overwhelmed her as she said girlfriend and leaned back into Brian's arms more. But she IS his girlfriend. It's not like I said anything bad. I just stated the fact. Mandy is Carter's girlfriend. I don't know why the hell she IS, but regardless, she is. She thought.

Nick looked up at Kaylie. What the hell was that all about? He thought as he watched Kaylie grimace as she said that Mandy was his girlfriend. But she's IN Brian's arms!! He yelled at himself. She CAN'T like me. And I don't even WANT her to. Really, I don't. He thought reassuring himself, trying to push down the feelings his heart screamed at him.

"You two look very nice!" Katie laughed as she looked over AJ and Howie. They stood there shuffling their feet in disgrace.

"Can we please go?" Howie asked dejectedly. Katie felt a bit of remorse as she looked at the two of them.

"Come on guys! Really! It's not that bad! I dress up like Jasmine everyday. You really look fine, believe me ok? Anyway, it's only for a few minuets so you can get out of here without getting stampeded on. And think of it this way, Kevin did this for a while too, look how he's turned out!" Katie stated. She watched as AJ broke out in a grin and turned to Howie. Together they began to laugh.

"Ya, ok, so maybe it's not THE best example. But it's not horrible. Right?" She asked looking at them. She'd done a good job transforming them into the well known Disney characters. Apparently all her work at the park had paid off. She began to ponder asking for a raise when she realized someone was touching her. Looking up abruptly she saw that AJ had his hand laid on her shoulder waiting for her response to a question. Shaking her head slightly she got back to what she was doing.

"Yes?" She asked quietly still absorbing the fact that he was touching her. Part of her screamed that THE AJ McLean was touching her, the Backstreet Boy himself, while the other demanded why she cared, after all, he was as conceited and womanizing as they came.

"Well, I, we--" he said pointing to Howie and himself "we just wanted to thank you for all this. We know we could have in some way lost your job by doing this so we just want to say thanks. It's not your job to keep dumb assed--" he started as Howie cut him off.

"Dumb ass, only him, only one ass. I have no tattoos. It was not ME who got the fans attention!" He swore laughing as AJ blushed.

"As I was saying! It's not your job to keep our asses safe, so thanks." He finished sheepishly.

"Aww, it's nothing. Anyway, if I hadn't I would have missed lunch with Kev and I haven't seen the boy in years so just consider me a bit selfish ok?" She laughed. Again they looked at her puzzled.

"Later. I'll explain later." She said as she began to usher them out of the room.

Kevin glanced down at his watch again for the fourth time in the past minute. Where is she? And them! Where are they? He thought worriedly.

"Old man, I don't think the time's changed much since the last time you checked." Kaylie said laughing as she stood up and walked over to him.

"You wanna start something missy?" Kevin joked and grabbed for her waist. Brian watched on in amusement at the two only wishing that it was he who was playing with Kaylie. But SHE kissed ME. He kept reminding himself as waves of jealously overcame him as Kevin sucessfully grabbed her and plopped Kaylie in his lap. She leaned back contentedly and sighed. Kevin closed his eyes for a split second only to open them the next to once again look at his watch.

"Cuz, you ok there?" Brian asked in his slow drawl. He and Kaylie briefly glanced at one another and Brian tried to read her expression but failed.

"Ya, just worried about where everyone is. And my surprise has yet to show too." He laughed, a small smile on his lips.

"Surprise? You said nothing about a surprise before! Spill!" Kaylie perked up, jumping off of Kevin's lap. Both Brian and Kevin grinned at her antics.

"Well, you've only met a few times before, right as the group got together. Bri, you'll remember real well." Kevin laughed as a slight blush rose on his cheeks. Kaylie's head whipped around and stared accusingly at Brian.

"What? Tell me! It's a girl isn't it!" She demanded. Kevin chuckled as Brian looked at him in fear.

"I don't know! Really! I've got nothing to do with this! Tell her Kev!!" He yelped as Kaylie approached him.

"Can't. Secret. Telling would make it a secret no longer!" Kevin said as he laughed. Kaylie now stood directly in front of Brian, hands on her hips.

"Kevin! Help!!" Brian yelled in horror as he watched Kaylie as she thought of some way to torture him. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Kevin. His expression changed and it seemed as a light bulb went off in Kevin's head as he opened his mouth to speak.

"Hey K, why're you so mad?" He said calmly. Not seeing where he was going Kaylie answered.

"Because the surprise is some girl! For him! Some GIRL for Brian!" She practically shouted.

"And you don't like this why?" Kevin continued to ask.

"Because it's SOME GIRL, aren't you hearing me over here??" She screamed.

"And you don't want Brian to go out with just some GIRL as you put it?" He asked quietly as Brian saw where he was going with this. A small smile played on the corners of Brian's mouth as he held his breath in expectation of what she may say.

"No! I want Brian to go out with me! Not just SOME FREAKING GIRL!" She yelled and then paled as she realized what she said. Her hand found it's way to her mouth covering it in horror. Kevin sat back triumphantly on his bench.

"I'll, um, meet you guys at lunch. I, I need to go right now. I, I don't need to be here. Brian, I just don't want to get hurt again. I'm sorry." Kaylie whispered as she looked pleadingly at him before she ran off. Brian jumped up but Kevin grabbed his arm and kept him.

"Just let her go. The girl needs to think right now. Probably call a friend long distance and talk forever about how cute your smile is or how blue your eyes are." Kevin said knowingly.

Brian sat back ok the bench next to Kevin, a huge smile on his face.

"She likes me. She really likes me." He said joking.
