Nick and Kaylie were walking hand in hand through the sand just enjoying one anothers company. The waves crashed into the beach at a steady beat as they swung their hands back and forth. The moment seemed perfect to the two; finally the old feelings had been placed aside as they realized the love they had for each other.
Slowing down, Nick took both her hands in his and turned towards her. As he opened his mouth Kaylie put her index finger to his lips to silence him.
"Shh, there's no need to talk, I already know what you're going to say." She said with a glimmer of mischief in her eyes. She took a deep breath and then began to speak. "Nick..." She said before she trailed off.
"Nick..."
"Nicky..."
What's going on here? Nick thought as he slowly came to from his state of slumber. Why was Kaylie calling him Nicky? She should KNOW that he hated that name! Annoyed, Nick rolled over and opened his eyes expecting to see Kaylie laying besides him.
"MANDY!" He shouted aghast.
"Yes Nicky? Who were you expecting, Kaylie or someone else?" Mandy asked in a huff.
"Well, umm, no, I was just a little, err, shocked." He whimpered.
"Whatever, I just wanted to tell you that your best friend woke me up from my sleep at some ungodly hour this morning. Something about a press conference or something. I'm not all to sure. Find out soon. If it's not something worthwhile I'm going shopping, which reminds me, I need another of your credit cards. I maxed out your Visa yesterday." Mandy replied half snottily half nonchalantly.
"You maxed it out?! Mandy!!" Nick groaned. Why couldn't the dream have been true?
"Nicky, you know I shop when I'm frustrated. And I was mad at you, so I compensated. Understand Nicky?" She said walking out the door not bothering for a response.
"Don't call me Nicky!" Nick shouted at her retreating back.

"Good morning sunshine." Brian said walking into the guest room opening the blinds.
"What's so good about it?" Kaylie mumbled, her head beneath her pillow.
"Well, other than your wonderful attitude this morning, the fact that I managed to get the whole group together. We're taking you to Disney World." Brian said triumphantly with a cheesy grin on his face.
"Yay for me, the WHOLE group." Kaylie groaned rolling over and facing Brian.
"It'll be fun, just think, a while day with your favorite person in the world." Brian said doing a happy dance (K, happy dance!! LMAO!!) Around the room getting a few giggles from Kaylie.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean, he's very cute." She said looking off dreamily.
Brian stopped and stared at her as his ears turned red.
"He's very funny and handsome, you know, in a sophisticated kind of way too." She said giggling once more.
"Well, I always KNEW I was a great catch!" He said puffing out his chest and walking around the room. At that Kaylie started laughing.
"B! I was talking about the mouse! Mickey! Ha! You thought!" She said laughing.
"Yeah, well, ya know, whatever floats your boat. If you're in love with a six foot rat, who am I to stop you?" Brian mocked. Kaylie's face fell.
"Yeah well, apparently I was in love with a six foot rat; and look where THAT got me." She said angrily.
"Kay, I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking." He said leaning over and pulling her into this arms. "It's going to be ok, really, it is. I mean, you'll get to meet the mouse, and hang with the world's most popular group all day! You'll forget about everything!" Brian said proudly. At that Kaylie seemed to perk up. Her dark blue eyes seemed to sparkle as she spoke.
"What? The most popular group in the world's coming?" She said excitedly.
"Well, yeah, I already said that." Brian said puzzled.
"You mean you got N Sync for me? Aww!! Bri, you shouldn't have!" Kaylie teased.
"Ha, ha! You're SO funny! Now, up! Get out of this bed and get your butt into that shower! We've got less than an hour." He said throwing the covers off her and walking out the room.
"I really would have liked to have N Sync come!" Kaylie yelled at his retreating back.
"I might as well go along with it." She mumbled, "he's just going to drag me along anyway."

(Downstairs)
Brian whistled a song he was writing in his head as he poured himself a glass of orange juice.
she was the one to hold me
the night the sky fell down
and what was I thinkin when
the world didn't end
why didn't I know what I know now
would you look at her as she looks at me
she's got me thinkin about her constantly
but she don't know how I feel
and as she carries on without a doubt
I wonder if she's figured out
I'm crazy for this girl
A playful smile drew on his lips as Kaylie strolled down the stairs.
and right now
face to face all my fears
pushed aside and right now
I'm ready to spend
the rest of my life with you
would you look at her as she looks at me
she's got me thinkin about her constantly
but she don't know how I feel
and as she carries on without a doubt
I wonder if she's figured out
I'm crazy for this girl
would you look at her as she looks at me
she's got me thinkin about her constantly
but she don't know how I feel
and as she carries on without a doubt
I wonder if she's figured out
I'm crazy for this girl
"Whatcha thinkin bout Bri?" She asked. Brian couldn't help but smile looking at her. She looked like a little girl who was going to Disney World, not a 20 year old one whom he'd practically had to force to come. She had her long blonde hair pulled up into two braided pig tails. Her dress consisted of blue Capri's and a baby doll shirt which declared 'I like boys.' The color was a light pink while the printing had a slight sparkle to it. Her feet were adorned with a pair of tasteful platform sandals. He noticed she'd decided to wear a gold necklace he'd given her many years back for Christmas. It was a simple thing really; a plain gold chain with a heart charm dangling from it, but he know it meant much more. On the back it was inscribed 'B-Rok's Girl.' He'd gotten it for her with that inscription when she'd been going through a rough time. He'd told her that he'd always be there for her whenever she needed him for the very reason that she was his girl. The fact was, that day those many years ago he realized that he'd truly fallen for Kaylie and wished that she was in fact his girl. Maybe her wearing the necklace meant something, or maybe he was just looking into it too much.
"Oh, nothing, just thinking about when I gave you that. That sure was a long time ago." He said wistfully.
"Yeah, it sure was. I still wear it all the time Bri, I love this thing. I, I, well, I remember that he used to get mad at me because I would. I guess he was offended by me being your girl. Now I'm no one's girl." She said her eyes downcast as she gently held onto the heart.
"Aww, come here. Kay, you know you're still my girl! You'll always be my girl! Now, stop cryin', we're going to Disney today. We're going to have fun, pig out on food, barf on rides, and forget all about what's-his-name." He said pulling her into a hug. Kaylie smiled up at him and ran for the door.
"Race ya to the car!" She said laughing.
Yeah, this day just might go well.Brian thought as he tore out of his house slamming the door behind him.
