St.-Petersburgh Chain

This chain is rather unusual project among Russian beaders. Its pattern is hard to find. When I want to make it, I have to look into my notebook and refresh my memory. The chain is called by the name of historical capital of Russia, I wish I knew why :)

So let's start it: string 7 beads and follow the drawing below. Notice that steps 1-4 and 5-8 repeat each other, I put this repetition for your convinience. Blue beads mean the ones added with the current step, not the color pattern.

This was my Christmas necklace with long twisted bugles. Easy to do when chain pattern is known: weave from the center to the left and then to the right so that the edge be positioned in the middle of future necklace. Then add any fringes you like!
