"The concept of the motorcycle outlaw was uniquely American. Nothing like them had ever existed. In some ways they are a human hangover from the era of the Wild West."

#39  Hawthorne (Spokane)  9.5 D  Lace-to-Toe Logger  (New, 3/09)  A classic workin' man's boot that'll never be matched for all-day comfort and rugged good looks.  Round toe (not steel).  Lace-up of 4 eyes and 8 singlets.  Massive woodsman heel, 2" high, with heavy-duty tire-tread Vibram soles.  Height of the tops is 9".  The original owner claims these were worn twice--but to my eye there is no sign on the soles of skins that these had any wear at all:  They are the same as brand new in the box.  (Hawthorne is a division of White's Boots up in the NorthWest, and a boot second only to Wesco in quality.)  $180
