 | October 15, 1997 Dear Sissy,
I was moved by your tribute to your brother. The syncronicity you had with him is a special gift that some siblings have. My son was only 20 when he died, yet he had told his sister and his mother (me) that he would not live to be 20. No special reason, just a fact. You learn at Compassionate Friends National Conferences that such premonitions are not unusual. A very spiritual quality that Eddie and my son Chris had was this apparent ablilty to connect with their own karma without realizing it. We don't have words for it in our culture. Odd..my husband's name is Eddie. "Freebird" was one of Chris's favorite songs, and old as I was when he used to work out to it, I did also. It was played on acoustic guitar at his memorial service. Let me know how things are going for you. I am 9 years "down the road." A "veteran" like you. Love, Pat |
