The Township of Berkeley Heights, in cooperation with Union County, Newe Jersey, is going to renovate several miles of dirt paths along the Passaic river. For as long as anyone can remember, mountain bike riders and cyclists generally have used these trails, virtually the only only people to do so. It is bike riding which maintains the trails. However, with more pedestrians seeking the woods, the town of Berkeley Heights has decided to update the trails -- and kick out the cyclists.
