Welcome to N'awlins

As they say in the Big Easy...Let the Good Times Roll!!

One of the first pictures I took in the city..this is what all the buildings look like in the French Quarter

This is the pedestrian mall in Jackson Square, right in front of St. Louis Cathedral

Clowns, musicians, tarot card readers, and some other err interesting people in Jackson Square right in front of the Cathedral.

Jackson Square again, this is what we look like when my dad is taking FOREVER to take a picture (which is pretty often)..Luke, Mom and me

A random person offered to take this pic of my family...we're in the middle of Jackson Square park, in front of the cathedral

This is another view overlooking the cathedral and Jackson Square..if you see the horse statue right beside my mom's head, that's Andrew Jackson

Can't go to Nawlins without seeing the paddleboat on the Mississippi..too bad there were guys with huge boa constrictor snakes standing right near us..aaaaah!

Since Nawlins is actually a few meters below sea level, they can't bury the dead underground, or they'll float back up. This is what their aboveground cemeteries look like. The city is also known for voodoo, if that has any connection...

Luke and I along the riverwalk at night...lots of shops and stuff

I took this pic because the sky looked SO blue and I thought the cathedral spires were cool

One of the streetcars, apparently they're historic mechanical monuments or something...they still run throughout the city (along the route the Mardi Gras parade goes...)

We drove back home the looooooooong way along the gulf coast. At least it's really pretty. This is one of our stops

Me looking lovely from the long car ride we'd been on along the coast...
