Service Projects We Have Completed

In July and August of 2003 we colected and donated 5 Boxes full of Toys/food/bedding supplies and even a camcorder to the MSPCA in Boston. For the care and enjoyment of the animals. We also met some of the animals that would benifit from our donations. Our troop leader sewed 2 large beds for the Dogs at the shelter also.

In September we started our Birthday Day Box Drive where we collected enough supplies for 4 complete Birthday Parties. We donated 2 of the parties to a Battered Women and Children's shelter in JP and the other 2 were sent to The Italian Home for Children.

In october we started a food drive to send can goods and other non-perishable food items to the same women's shelter we sent the birthday boxes. They recived 3 large boxes stuffed with can goods and some extra bags of canned goods.

We also Started another drive in October but didn't finish until November. We collected about $200 worth of personal products and favorite snacks and food to send over to 3 different troops in Iraq. We ended up sending 1 25lb box of supplies to each man. We also made cards for one of the troops because his birthday was coming up.

In november we plan to collect items for a Thanksgivving feast for the Women's shelter in JP (we like them and think it is a really good cause).we mannaged to collect enough food to feed 100 people or to feed the shelter for thanksgiving/ chrsitmas and then some. we Also collected $55 in  gift certificates for turkeys. the girls did a great job i am so proud of them.

In december we are doing 3 projects  singing at the Altenheim and the West Roxbury Mannor and we will be collecting Christmas presents for the Children at the Shelter.

In January and February- We collected Cookies at our Booth sale and Made Valentines cards for Troops comming home from Iraq and Qwait. We went to deliver tem on 2-7-04 and were surprised at how happy it made them.
