1.) No Gum on first date.
I know you are saying to yourself, "Why not?" The why is that you need to talk to get introduced to any new person. Gum will only gross-out the individual who really wants to get to know you. Also, some type so gum smell bad.
2.) Keep your eyes on your date.
This helps. Any glances to other people my inform your date that you do not want to be here. Even worse your date might think you are flirting with other people.
3.) Tell your date if you have any kids.
This is no suprise to anyone but some people can not tell. Keep in mind that your date may have too many kids for you to handle.
4.) Look for signs of co-dependence.
This person has their ex on speed dial. This person is ready for a mommy and not a date.
5.) Popularity.
Does your date seem to know everyone? Keep away from these people. If you even try to talk to anyone outside his circle of friends they think you are cheating. Keep inside the circle.
6.) Clothing.
It is one thing to have a first date in McDonalds when you have no money but going to the Olive Garden in the same clothing on a first date is a----NO. Don't do this. Some places will even make the person wait a 1/2 an hour more. They think that the two of you will go away. They may even put something into your food.
7.) Feet.
Don't touch feet. This is a sign that may promise more. If you can smell their feet leave.
8.) Space.
This is a first date. Some people do not even kiss on a first date. Hand holding is a no. Huging is still a good thing but not at the start of the date.
9.) Communication. This is the same as the other 9 in the last list.
Do it. Talk is cheap, but it's very good. And necessary for a relationship. Tell them who you are.
10.) Hands.
Don't touch anything dirty with them. Long dates in the forest are a no for first daters. Wash hands whenever possible.
11.) Sex.
You have no idea who this person is. They could kill you. They could have a STD. They could be a phyokiller that just needs you to help him kill more people. Who knows?Wait until the second month or longer. I know it seems long but some STDs are forever.
