In 1991 a legend was born. A small group of young men decided to make a movie. Little did they know what would become of this low-budget, shot-on-video action picture. The Trespassers was shot in the outskirts of Bracebridge, Ontario in an amazing two days. Years later when The Trespassers made its way to home video a cult following was formed. A sequel was inevitable. In 1994 the follow-up, Splitting Images carried on the epic. 1997 concluded the trilogy with Utopia: The Return of the Trespassers; thus putting the series to rest, at least for the next decade. In 2001, Director Jason Stewart released a definitive "Special Edition" of The Trespassers which included some newly shot footage. The same process was done with Splitting Images in 2003. So what is this film series all about? What is its appeal?
