This is the Honarble Archibald Campbell, son of james and elizabeth campbell. Archibald was born on April 28, 1828, Prince Edward Island, Canada. He married Frederica Helmenstein. Frederica was born 1835 in Germany and died in 1925 in Wisconsin. Archibald died in 1901 in Wisconsin and both are buried in Middlebury Cemetery.
The children of Archibald and Frederica are:
George, Eliza Jane, Mae, William (my great grandfather), James, Edward, John, Orville, and Libby.

History of this photo: This ancestor was almost lost to the family. Upon the death of my mother this photo was hidden under a sheet of felt with sea shells glued on it. I saved it from going to auction because it was a "family treasure" given to my mother by her aunt. I was going to use the beautiful beveled frame to insert a recent family picture...and Archibald is what I found. And he remains in the frame...with family pictures taped inside with information for the next person who "accidentally" finds this treasure.
