Chapter 6

Darkness. That was all Darien could see, was darkness. There were no stars, no moon. Just the calmness of night. He proped his feet up on his balcony railing, staring into the night.

“It just doesn’t make sense…” he saild aloud. “I can’t handle this right now…I have too many things to think about.”

Darien stared at the sliver ring on his finger. He slowly slipped it off to examine it.

“Hmm..” He slid his finger around the outside edge of it. Though he strained his eyes to look at it, the darkness had consumed around him, leaving no light. He sighed and started to walk back inside to the comfort of his warm apartment. A gust of cold air swept through the air, hitting his neck.

Shivering, Darien turned around to see Sailor Space floating outide his balcony.

“You again!” Darien gasped and stumbled back. A strange glow seemed to come from her. “What do you want?”

Sailor Space raised her hand. Suddenly, Darien was no longer on his balcony, he was in a large field, full of white roses.

“Where am I?” he called, to no particular person, “I don’t want any part of this! I don’t care about what happened in the past! I just want things to be normal again”

Sailor Space appeared before once again.
”Your destiny is blurry Prince.” She saild calmly, “You cannot escape it though.”

Darien stared at her, his eyes a darker blue.

“I want you to understand what your trying to capture Prince. Don’t be so hasty in your decisions.”

“The reason all this is happening so fast my Prince, is that a dark shadow has been released.” Space look towards the clear blue sky. “All your enimies up to this point have been unable to complete their full purpose.”

“Full purpose?” Darien questioned. His mind full of questions.

“The purpose of all evil doers, is to find a power source so great, that they can become the god of all stars. But, they come from one place.”

“Galaxy Cauldron?”

“You could say that, but…they go to one place. The place where they become evil. All stars aren’t born evil you know. They have to be taught how to be evil, and make people and stars alike suffer and hate.”

“Where do they go?”

“The Shadows of Star Seeds.”

“What?” Darien stared at Sailor Space, wondering wether or not she was to be trusted.

“Every star has a shadow, as do Star Seeds. The shadow is the side of everyone, that has their most inner desires.”

“So where do all these new scouts come from? Sailor Earth I mean..and what does any of this have to do with anything!” Darien cried. His irritation in everything started to overcome him. “I just don’t care about anything of this! I want everything to go back to the way it was!”

Sailor Space looked at him with a deepened sadness. “Touch my hand Prince.”

Darien looked up at her. He reached to touch her hand, but his hand went right through hers. Like a ghost’s hand.

Darien’s eyes widened. “What are you?”

Her eyes gazed him from afar. “I’m the spirit of the legendary Sailor Space.”

“Spirit?” Darien’s harsh tone, turned softer. “Your not alive anymore?”

Sailor Space shook her head. She smiled. “I need you to help me, and my friends. But most of all, to find Selenity Princess.”

 “What happened to you?” Darien asked, completely ignoring her last sentence.

Surprised, she looked up at him. “I was killed, by the shadow.”

“After the destuction of the Sliver Millennium, I, fourth member of the Cult Of Selenity, escaped, to the Crystal Shadows, a sleeping tomb of the star senshi. I and my other members of the Cult-“

“Who were they?” Darien interuppted.

Sailor Space looked past him. “Sailor Earth, Sun, Star, Comet, Astroid, and Galaxia.”

“Sailor Earth, shes the one who helped us the other night.” Darien said quietly, “There were two other senshi with her.”

“Sailor Sun and Star I suspect,” Space said “They were the last to awake from their sleep in the Crystal Shadows.”

“What happened to the others?”

Space’s eyes turned a dark shade of purple. A small tear came down her pale cheek. “They’re gone.” She whispered.
