Lyla Montgomery Peretti - Lyla's mother was a fairly respectable and sedate nurse by the time we met her, but she was apparently quite a rabble-rouser in her younger days. These days, Lyla makes her living as a singer. At times she seems to have settled down in Chicago with a steady gig; at others, she is on tour, performing at nightclubs throughout the country.

Those are the circumstances in which Katie was raised, so she didn't have the stable home life that her older siblings did. Also, Katie may have been the youngest of four, but she was essentially raised as an only child since all of her siblings were married with children before she was born. (Katie exists because the actress who played Lyla was only a few years older than Margo, so when she got pregnant in real life, they wrote the baby in.)

Craig Montgomery - Of all her siblings, Margo was always closest to her brother Craig, who was only a year younger than she was. If Margo is more comfortable hanging out with the guys (she is), then Craig always seemed to surround himself with women. He started out on the show as the cad who manipulated and schemed to both claw his way up the corporate ladder and to hang onto wife Betsy Stewart and daughter Danielle (even though he knew she was fathered by Steve Andropoulos). At one point he even faked paralysis, but when Margo lay unconscious in a burning building, Craig rushed in to save her, revealing his scam and ultimately landing in jail for his crimes. It was at this point that Craig's turnaround began. At one point he was brainwashed and released in order to complete some mission. His love for Danielle (who he did truly love as his own child) helped him overcome the brainwashing and he even helped reunite Steve and Betsy at this point. Soon thereafter, he went to work for Lucinda Walsh and she sent him to Montega to rescue her daughter Sierra Esteban (though no one knew about their connection at the time). Craig fell in love with Sierra, but when he returned thinking she was dead, he and Lucinda found solace in each other's arms and made love.

That, of course, caused major problems for Craig and Sierra when she did finally show up in Oakdale, but they did get their happy end ultimately. Craig and Sierra currently live in Florida with their two children, Bryant (who was born on-screen and is between Chris and Adam in age, as I recall) and Lucinda Marie, known as Lucy (she was born off-screen). Among the many women Craig romanced through the years (during separations from Sierra or when he thought she was dead) were Emily Stewart, Ellie Snyder, and Samantha Markham. He and Betsy were also quite close as she had forgiven him for everything he did to keep her and Steve apart. Craig was also very close to Lily, who considered him a surrogate father of sorts, and Lisa, with whom he co-owned the Mona Lisa.

Cricket Montgomery Ross - Margo and Craig's younger sister, Cricket was only on ATWT for a few years. A rebellious teen, she got pregnant by Cody Sullivan and gave birth to a son, Billy, when she was just 18 or 19. [Cody, BTW, was half-brother to Jeff Ward. Jeff is married to Emily's aunt, Annie Stewart, and the father of the famous Ward quadruplets. That means, if you are keeping track of the show's incestuous interconnections, that Margo's oldest nephew, Billy, and Emily Stewart are both first cousins to the quadruplets.] Cricket never told Cody she was pregnant. She later hooked up with nerdy Ernie Ross and they had a daughter together before moving away. Cricket was mentioned from time to time during the Doug Marland years, but we haven't heard a word about her since. Presumably, she and Ernie and their kids are still living somewhere happily--although if relative ages are being maintained, both Billy and the daughter (Suzy) would be out of college and living on their own by now.

Katie Peretti - She is the late-in-life daughter of Lyla and her much younger (younger even than Margo, Craig, and Cricket) second husband, Casey Peretti. Casey, a doctor, died years ago when he came down first with Guillien-Barre syndrome (which left him paralyzed), then with encephalitis. Katie was just a toddler when her father died. Also, Katie should be about 5 months YOUNGER than Adam if relative ages were being kept.

Maggie Crawford - Margo's aunt on her mother's side, Maggie was Tom's law partner for many years. After her relationship with Tom ended, she eventually hooked up with Margo's then-partner, Detective Frank Andropoulos (cousin to Steve). She also ended up adopting a little girl she named Jill. Last we knew, the three left Oakdale together shortly after Frank and Maggie wed. Presumably, they are still out there somewhere and still a family.

Bart Montgomery - The man Margo thought was her father for many years was last seen in Oakdale in the mid-1980s. We never knew much about him, but he and Margo did eventually come to some sort of understanding. He presumably is still out there somewhere.

Margo, of course, also has family on her father John Dixon's side. In addition to John, there are her three half-brothers, Andy Dixon (on the show), Ian (Duke) Kramer Dixon, and Matthew John (MJ) Dixon. Andy, of course, is the son of John and Kim and the only one of his four kids that John helped raise (when he wasn't kidnaping him or otherwise causing trouble). Duke, who is essentially the same age as Andy (yes, their mothers were pregnant at the same time; Duke is slightly older, however) is the son of John and nurse Rosemary Kramer. John never knew about his son until he was a grown man. To make a long story short, the previous owner of Tom and Margo's current house was a former postmaster who had just been sent to prison for some shady dealings. Tom and Margo found a bag of old mail in the house and one of the letters turned out to be from Rosemary telling John that she was pregnant. When he found the letter, he went in search of his child and found Duke in Seattle. Rosemary was dead and Duke came to Oakdale to live with John and Lucinda. It was Lucinda's refusal to accept Duke that eventually broke up the Walsh-Dixon marriage.

While in Oakdale, Duke, a former boxer and a bit rough around the edges, began to follow his father into medicine and fell in love with Tom's daughter, Lien. Duke and Lien eventually left town together to go to college at Rutgers (he was pre-med, she pre-law). Last we heard, they had broken up and Duke had dropped out of school and returned to boxing. Lien, however, presumably has her law degree and has been practicing law for several years now somewhere in the country.

Margo's youngest sibling, MJ, is John's son with Iva Snyder (Lily's mother). He lives in Washington DC with his mom and stepfather, Jason Benedict. Jason currently heads up the National Crime Commission, which was started by Tom. MJ has shown up in town from time to time for important events, most recently when he testified during Parker's custody hearing earlier last year.

The only other family we know for Margo is also on her father's side. John has at least one sibling, a sister Adele. Adele's daughter, Pam Wagner, a nursing student, lived in Oakdale for a few years. She was involved with a singer named Beau Farrell (brother of Bob and Kim's stalker, Laura Simmons).
