This page is for those Crab players old and new, who are looking for sample Crab decks.
This deck packs a wallop! As you can see this is a Fast Crab Oni Deck, One Koku gives you the
the chance to bring out a personality in the first turn, either Amoro or the Yakamo Oni. Now
imagine Amoro and Oni no Akuma out on the first turn! Bam! LSD? Hah!
Hold the 'Portents(unless in a tight pinch) till you get all three, never mind Amoro, three
'Portents gives you 9F Ogres! Oaths will give you 10F not to mention the effect these
monsters will give your BIGGEST monster, Yakamo Oni xp!
Sneak + Crush or Sneak + Deadly Ground, follow up with a rallying cry and voila! Add your
loners to the fight with the Oracle or with a quick SupTac. Use Darkness Feeds... and Frenzy,
with abandon, you know the rest.

Of Hidas and Hirumas...
You hate Lions don't you? And you want a deck that can take on an LSD toe to toe, this one's
for you! All but 5 dynasty cards can be brought out on the first turn! Also Honor is not a
problem with this deck. One rule of mine is, If your deck is AS FAST as an LSD, you can take
just about any other deck there is, the thing is to configure your deck for SPEED, and NOT to
dedicate it solely to STOP AN LSD.
What? Afraid that a sneaky Scorp's gonna Breach you? Defend Your Boner..er..Honor! Lady
Kitsune can also help you, she brings down the honor req. and you can set her to work on the
Temple of the Ancestors for easy Honor gain.
As I said, this deck can match if not outclass the Lion, when it comes to personality output,
make him waste those cheesy Charges and SoP's, by slapping some Refugees or BSLs on his early
kitties, and if Ryozo's around, Yakamo's fix his wagon!
Also strive to get the favor, as long as you have it, he can't use it against you. On a last
note, just do what the Crab does best...DEFEND...well..if you can get away with it(Rallying
Cry!), then by all means kick his sorry Lion ass!

Hida Oghma's Tournament Winning Deck.
Hida Oghma, one of our esteemed brother in warfare presents his winning deck
I advise all Crabs to take a goodlook at this deck for if you ever wanted a working
and winning Crab Honor deck, this is it.
Hida Oghma writes.....
Here is an honourable crab deck that has won the last two
tournamnets I have played in(One being multiplayer).
The third scroll from the Scorpion clan coup has produced the dream crab
deck, with anouther 3 personal honour crab samurai. This deck loves to
attack, but we take into consideration defense at the same time, as well as
some of thoses cheesy dragon dueling decks.
Hirumas are the honour force of the Crab now, as there are 2 personalites
from the Hiruma with 3 personal honour. They both only cost 6 gold, which
means first turn play, or easily aquiried 3 family honour. Kuni Yori is a
deadly secret weapon that not enough crab Daimyos appreciate around here.
Discard your opponents hand, I've yet to meet a clan that could win going
toe to toe with the printed force of the crab and no tricks up there
sleeves. You don't need them, trust me.
No clan is better suited to the test of might than the crab, and with all
the new honourable crab guys, strength of purity is now a very good card to
consider for the crab. The another times and Kharmic strikes depend on how
many dragon decks, (Or other cheesy dueling decks) that you encounter. I am
constantly bombarded with cheese from the physically inept dragon and
crane. Usually I attack and then they duel my guys to death, gain even more
honour, and I can't stop them. Wait for the another times, and then attack
with impunity. You need assassins for those really annoying people, (And
there are plenty) while the honour loss is bad, you won't regret having the
capability to kill anyone who bothers you(With less than 5 chi of course).
If any card's usefulness surprised me the most, it was Shadowlands
Sickness. I originally put the card in to deal with an annoying Junzo deck
that thought it was too fast to beat (hehe), I forgot to take them out
after whooping Junzo boy and 'lo and behold, almost every deck has some
sort of shadowlands cards in them( Porcelin Mask of Fu-Leng for example).
Another amazing discovery, was the fact that this deck worked equally, if
not better on defense. You do the exact same thing on defense, only you get
to go first!!! This deck is loaded with money, so you shouldn't have any
problems with bad starts, but don't think that you immune. Shuffle well
before playing. Any card that you don't need against a particular opponent,
throw it away with Kuni Yori or a merchant Caravan.
There is one deck that can give this one a head ache though, and that is a
Scorpion) dishonour deck. With the new high honour guys comes a price, fall below
3 family honour, and you are in trouble. This deck is no Crane deck for honour gain,
but it is very very fast at gaining honour if you want it to be. Try
crushing your opponent, or sitting back and reaching 40 honour. You may
find that you can do both, and that your opponent can not attack and defend
equally. Find their weaknesses, and exploit them. Playing a defensive deck?
Sit back and defend yourself. Playing an attack deck? See how they like
their own medicine. Lsd decks can be taken care of with refugees and
treacherous terrains. I hope you have fun with my ideas, and may the crab
rule justly over the lesser clans.
