Megabyte: I SAID DON’T TOY WITH ME! I AM NOT AS LOW DENSITY AS YOU THINK! IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD QUIT WHILE I WAS A HEAD! I WARN YOU! DO NOT PROVOKE ME FURTHER! IT IS BY MY WILL ALONE YOU SURVIVE THIS ENCOUNTER!
Katie: Matrix told me about the time you said that to HIM. And look who ended up getting the upper hand!
(Megabyte extends two sets of claws. One on bot side. One set is jagged from the time Matrix had fought him in ‘SHOW DOWN’.)
Megabyte: I would not say such things if I were you!
Katie: You're a coward, a spineless coward. When ever some one can threaten you, you extend your claws. Am I supposed to be afraid? Well I'm NOT.
Megabyte: I would not say such things if I were you!
Katie: Why not? You may be bigger than me, sure! But when I say it you are a coward, It is only because you are the lowliest slime to ever walk the earth. My friends will come through for me. They always do, and Vise, versa.
(Megabyte takes and angry step towards her. Katie takes a small step back, thinking that with her loud mouth, she may have over stepped her boundaries this time. She tries to look not the least bit afraid, but she is still a little nervous. Suddenly there is a huge crash. Matrix, Enzo, AndrAIa, Bob, Dot, Mouse and Ray come through the ceiling on lines.)
*CRASH*
Bob: Just thought we’d DROP in.
Megabyte: Not that same, tried old joke.
(Megabyte calls security.)
Dot: That won’t be Necessary, we were just leaving.
Mouse: NOW!
(AndrAIa grabs Katie’s wrist.)
AndrAIa: Hope you’re not afraid of hights!
Katie: Not in the least.
AndrAIa: That’s good, because other wise, this will make you go random.
Katie: Try me.
(They are all hoisted straight up on the lines. Katie looks down at Megabyte while they are being hoisted up.)
Katie: SEE YA!
(They are now on the roof.)
Katie: Well THAT was fun! C’mon lets high tail it out of here!
(AndrAIa hands Katie a zip board.) 
Katie: Thanks. 
(Katie takes it and gets on it. They all ride off together.)

Scene XIV
(They are at the entrance of Dot’s Diner, walking in. There is a loud thud. Katie turns around. Matrix is standing there rubbing his head.)
*BANG! THUD!*
Matrix: I always forget about that.
Cecil: Ve know! You're costing madam a fortune in repairs and plastering!
(Matrix gives him an angry look.)
Cecil: *gulp*
Dot: I’ve been meaning to have that fixed for you Matrix.
Enzo: Uhh, Matrix?
Matrix: Yeah?
Enzo: You’ve got plaster in your hair.
Matrix: Oh, thanks.
(Matrix brushed the plaster out of his hair and AndrAIa stifles a giggle.)
Dot: We’d better sit at the bar, you remember what happened LAST time you tried to fit into one of the booths. 
Matrix: Uhh, yeah.
(They go sit at the bar.)
Katie: Well, I hate to bring this up, but now that I’m stuck here in Mainframe, No offence, just a figure of speech, I’m gonna need a job. I’ll need some uhh, what ever you call money here…
Bob: Units
Katie: Yeah, units. I’ll need to earn enough for a place to stay and stuff like that. I mean, I can’t stay with Matrix and AndrAIa TOO long. I don’t want to wear out my welcome.
AndrAIa: We could lend you 50 units to get started off on, and you can stay with Matrix and I until you get enough for your own apartment.
Katie: 50 Units? You sure? 
Matrix: Sure.
Katie: I’ll pay you back as soon as I’m able.
Dot: You could work here at the diner. I’d pay you 75 units.
Katie: Ok, sounds good. What do you need me to do?
Dot: Basically, be a waitress, and maybe cook some times, you can cook, right.
Katie: Yeah.
Enzo: I don’t think Cecil will be to keen on the idea.
Matrix: He’ll get over it. 
Katie: All right, when do I start?
Dot: How does two seconds sound?
Katie: Seconds?!?
Dot: Yeah. 
Katie: We obviously have different time lines. See, to users, seconds are like, right now. For us you count to 2 and that’s 2 seconds. 
Bob: that would be a Nano to us. 
Katie: Oh. Ok. So how long would a day be? 
Matrix: Along time for us.
Katie: Ok, This is going to be hard.
Dot: Let’s see. Nanos equal second to you, so a day to you must be a second to us. So, two says of them. 
Katie: Ok. Sounds good to me. 
Dot: can you be here by 19:00?
(Katie gives Dot a questioning look.)
Dot: We probably have different systems.
Katie: Heh, no kidding. Tell me what time it is, and I’ll set my watch.
Enzo: What kind of a watch is that! Ours go to 24.
Katie: Oh, I guess I’ll need a new one. 
Dot: Might want to pick up some wardrobe upgrades while you’re at it.
Katie: Huh. Oh, I think I know what you mean.
Dot: Ok
Katie: If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take a walk to look around Mainframe. 
Dot: Ok, see you later.
(Katie walks out the door and gets on her zip board.)
Katie: Ok, now I pretty much know the terms, let’s meet the people and see the things.
(Katie cruises around Baudway.)
Katie: Calvin SPLINES? WOAH! Maybe things aren’t quite so different here after all. 
(There is a sprite on the other side of the street. He is Alex Endoran, a young sprite about Katie’s age who recently moved to Mainframe. He has bright, Green eyes, black hair and silver skin. His hair is cut into Army Recruit training style. He wears a suit like Ray trace accept It's completely green. He is hot-dogging for his friends. Katie is crossing the street and has right of way. )
Alex: Hey guys! Watch this!
(Alex does lots of impressive turns, spins, twirls, back flips, front flips, and other stuff on his zip board. He is heading across the street. While his is hot dogging, he hit’s Katie head on, and although he was just stunned, Katie was knocked off her zip board and is sent sprawling to the ground. Alex looks shocked. Katie groans, struggles to get up, and with much effort and pain, does so. Katie approaches Alex.)
Katie: Hey you random weirdo! What are you trying to do? Delete me! Watch were you’re going you basic, low density, hot shot!
(Alex is still in shock. Katie storms away and finds her zip board, then gets on it and starts to head away.)
Alex): Why don’t you just chill babe?
(Katie turns around to face Alex.)
Katie: Then why don’t you watch where you’re going, hot shot?
Alex: You’re really starting to get my back up.
(Katie gives him a death stare.) 
Katie: Why don’t you just shut down?
Alex: Why don’t you just go back to the cyber-mall?
Katie: How about you log off you arrogant, basic hot shot!
(Katie leaves in a huff.)
Alex: Woah! Now that’s one hot-tempered girl.
 (Katie cruises down Baudway some more. She goes into a store.)
Katie: Well, I’ll need some new clothes, and a watch. A digital one. I hope things aren’t expensive.
(Katie stops over by a watch counter and looks at a silver digital watch with black velvet watch straps. It comes in a glittery gold box with fake gems hot glued onto it. There’s no righting on it.)
Katie: Excuse me, sir? How much is this watch?
Clerk: 5 units, case included.
Katie: I’ll take it.
(The clerk takes the box and watch out from under the class counter, and hands it to Katie, who gives him 5 units.)
Katie: Thank you kindly.
(Katie turns around and walks towards the clothes.)
Katie: I need some new clothes. But I can’t splurge. Nothing too pricey. Katie picks up a few wardrobe upgrades and pays for them, the heads out.   
Scene XV
(Megabyte, Alextrin, Lisona and other binomes are in their HQ planning.)
Alextrin: I say that one way to get to Mainframe is get that girl, Katie, I think her name is. She holds the key to a lot of this.
(Megabyte and Lisona look at each other.)
Lisona: Let’s explore ALL our options first.
Alextrin: Lisona! Don’t tell me that that one girl is too much for you, the mighty Lisona, to handle!
Lisona: She is not! It’s just that even I have to admit that she’ll cause a lot of trouble. Maybe more than she’s worth if we capture her. Suppose she gets out, and doesn’t make a run for it right away. She could total the HQ then head out.
Alextrin: You are SO Basic! She can’t do all that! You’re just not up to dealing with her. She’s too hot for you to handle. 
Lisona: That is NOT true Alextrin! But she will be trouble if we try and catch her. I guarantee it.
Alextrin: And do you think for one micro-minute that she will ever let us win if she is free?
Lisona: Good point.
(A binome enters.)
Binome: Lord Megabyte, sir?
Megabyte: Yes, What is it?
Binome: You have a vid-window sir.
Megabyte: What? A vid-window. Who could it be? I’ll be back. Carry on.

(Megabyte steps into another room and takes the call. On the Vid-window appears a Female Viral. She has jet back skin; red eyes with silver pupils, and is wearing a silver chain link cape. She has red fasteners on it and is wearing heeled knee-high boots and a blackish-red leather suit with a gold belt. She had waist long deep dark blue blackish-blue hair with white streaks.)
Megabyte: Daemon! I haven’t seen you since we were young virals!
Daemon: Hello Megabyte. You’re not the easiest viral to get a hold of you know. What have you been up to?
Megabyte: I was trapped in the web.
Daemon: Well now, doesn’t THAT just sound like fun? 
Megabyte: What a have YOU been up to?
Daemon: Oh the usually.
Megabyte: What have you done this time?
Daemon: Well, let’s see, I’ve infected the entire guardian collective, well accept for two of them, made a new kind of biological guardian, taken over the super-computer, ect, ect, ect. 
Megabyte: REALLY! Daemon! I don’t believe it.
Daemon: Believe it. All the proof you need is here come to the super-computer and I’ll show you.
Megabyte: I think I will. 
Daemon: Good. Oh, and Megabyte.
Megabyte: Yes?
Daemon: Don’t even think of trying to double cross me! The guardians and populous are loyal to ME only. So, DON’T try anything.
Megabyte: You know me TOO well. 

Scene XVII

(Takes place at a darkened room there are 6 guardians strapped onto medical tables. They are Bio-Guardians. Not born, like other sprite, but made so they don’t need key tools, have extremely good reflexes, strength and intellects. How ever, Bio-guardians can’t be infected while being created, so they have to be infected after.  The names of these sprites are Meg, Rick, Crystal, Alextron, Athena, and Benjy. Meg has gold eyes, light purple skin and dark purple hair. Rick is sunflower yellow and has black hair with blue eyes, roughly the color of Bob. Crystal is pink, has blond hair and red eyes, Alextron Is AndrAIa’s color, he has Black hair, and pure white (with the acceptation of the pupils) eyes.  Athena is a light tan color; she has golden brown hair, and has Grey eyes. She looks much like the mythical Greek Goddess Athena, Goddess of wisdom, victory, and art. Benjy is red. His eyes are green and his hair is jet-black. They are unconscious; a team of sprites and binomes in lab coats are gathered around.)
Head scientist (He’s a sprite): Revive them, we need to infect them now.
(A binome flips a switch and they are revived. They are alarmed, and start shouting all at once and struggling to get free.)
Crystal: WHO? WHAT? WHERE? WHY? WHEN? HOW?
Benjy: YIKES! WHAT IN THE NET!
Alextron: Hey! What’s going on! 
Rick: Let me out of this thing! 
Athena: Why are we strapped to these tables?
Meg: Let us go, NOW!
Head scientist: Calm down! You are bio-guardians. 
Athena: This is a well-established fact.
Meg (sarcastically): NO DUH! I thought we were binomes! Let us go you low-density null!
Head scientist: Just clam down! You’re in no danger, You’re perfectly safe, try and stay calm!
Meg: We’re strapped to a table, have no idea what the blazes is going in, and you expect us to stay calm!
HS: Well, uhh, you see, you are bio guardians.
Athena (Sounding both sarcastic and like she is loosing rapidly patients): We have established that fact already, we can move on, now.
HS: Well, We have finished the creation part.
Athena: This is apparent by now!
HS: And we are going to go into the infection stage.
Rick: Infection stage!
HS: That’s correct, we are now going to infect you, so you may serve Daemon. 
Meg: No way in the web! We’re Guardians! We don’t ‘Serve’ Viral trash!
Athena: If the programmed intelligence they gave us is right, don’t we have enormous strength?
Benjy: I never thought of that.
Meg: All right, we’re bustin’ out of this join.
(The six guardians use all their strength to break the leather straps binding them. They then make a run for it.)
HS: STOP THEM! STOP THEM! 
(The head scientist runs over to a red button on the wall marked security and pushes it. Within seconds, there is an entire troop of security officers in the doorway. Meg slams into a wall and creates a hole.)
*CRASH!*
Meg: Come on!
(The other fallow Meg, and Athena grabs six zip-boards from a crate sitting near by.)
Rick: See ya later, suckers. 
(Athena gives them the zip-boards and they speed away.)
Crystal: I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when Daemon finds out how we escaped. 
Meg: I agree with you there, Crystal.
Crystal: They spent all that time training us, and then we escape. She'll blow a circuit. 
Benjy: Got that right. She'll probably have them ALL deleted. 
Meg: We're the first Bio-guardians of our time, you know. We have those new powers. For zapping stuff, and force fields and forming portals and stuff like that.
Rick: She's REALLY going to blow a circuit.
Athena: It's their own fault you know. They should infect the Guardian FIRST. Train them later. A total Logic-lapse.
Alextron: I see your point. 
Athena: You do know that they'll be looking for us. They'll hunt us down. Stop at nothing.
Crystal: Well that's always a good thing. You're always the optimist.
Rick: I'd like to see them try.
Benjy: I personally wouldn't, Rick.
Crystal: I'm with Benjy on that one.
Meg: Crystal, you're with Benjy one EVERYTHING!
Crystal: Oh, zip it Meg!
Athena: I suggest we go somewhere where we will be safe.
Alextron: For starters, Out of here.
Athena: Precisely.
Meg: but where can we possibly go? 
Alextron: I remember our trainer talking about some small time system called Mainframe. No net transportation, notta. 
Rick: Sounds, Perfect Alextron
Alextron: They also talked about two guardians that Daemon never managed to infect. But I can't remember their names.
Athena: Guardian 452, Bob Andrex, and the other one isn't an official. He's a cadet that received 452's protocol. His name is Enzo Matrix. He goes by 'Matrix' though. He's known as a renegade, rather that a guardian. 
Meg: Are there any other little details you'd like to give us, Athena.
Athena: No.
Meg: How do you know all this anyway.
Athena: I 'listened' to the trainers.
Crystal (jokingly): You mean you ease-dropped on their conversations. 
Athena: Yes.
Meg: Truth be told, I really don't care if she paid them off or ease-dropped, right now we need to get out of here.
Rick: There's a tear. I'll stabilize it. 
(The hover over to the tear and Rick stabilizes it into a portal, using similar powers as Bob.)
Rick: C'mon.
Alextron: But we don't know if it goes to Mainframe.
Meg: You wanna stay here?
Alextron: Let's go.
(They head through the portal and come out in level 31 in Mainframe. There is a wall with 'Mainframe: Level 31' written on it. Rick goes over to it reads it out loud.)
Rick: Mainframe, level 31. This is the place.
Meg: And not much of a place at that.
Alextron: Come on, we need to find a place to stay.

Scene XVIII

(They are heading Katie, Bob, Dot, Mouse, Ray, Matrix, AndrAIa, and Enzo are in the diner. Hexadecimal enters. Everyone looks shocked to see her. Some binomes hide and some run in terror. Matrix pulls up his gun ready for defense.)
Hexadecimal: Hello all!
Dot: HEX? What are you doing here?
Hexadecimal: Oh I just thought I'd grab an energy shake. 
Dot: Oh, uhh sure. Cecil, an energy shake for Hexadecimal, pleases.
Cecil: Oui Madam. 
(Hexadecimal looks straight at Katie: She has a small nervous, creeped out look on her face.)
Hexadecimal: And who is this? I don't believe I've seen you before. 
AndrAIa: uhh, That's Katie, she's new here.
Hexadecimal: How nice to meet you! I'm Hexadecimal.
Katie (nervously): uhh, hi.
(Cecil comes and give Hexadecimal her energy shake the scampers away as possible.)
Hexadecimal: Thank you Cecil.
(Hexadecimal sits down and drinks her energy shake, then leaves.)
AndrAIa: Few! Glad that's over. 
Katie: Who WAS that weirdo anyway?
Bob: That was Hexadecimal, she's a virus.
Katie: A virus! That explains a lot of stuff! Hey wait a second, I thought I had gotten rid of all the viruses when I did my restart. Why wasn't she deleted?
Dot: We gave her a PDI code?
Katie: What? Why?
Dot: Bob cured her insanity, so we thought she deserved a second chance.
Katie: You say you cured her?
Bob: Well, she's still a little strange.
Katie: Oh, really? 
AndrAIa: Well, since she has PDI codes, she's no longer a viral, she's a data sprite.
Katie: Oh, well that makes me feel so much better.
Dot: I know you probably don't like the idea of a virus on your, uhh, computer…
Katie: It's ok, I'll get over it. I'll just have to trust your judgement.
Dot: Thanks, Katie, I knew you'd understand.
Katie: I just hope she doesn't wreak TOO much havoc on my computer. I mean she did some mean damage before.
Bob: That wasn't completely her. That was mainly Megabyte.
Katie: Can I get rid of him?
Matrix: No.
Katie: Why not?
Matrix: I'd like to do it.
Katie: Oh, ok.
(Phong calls Dot on her organizer.)
Dot: What is it, Phong?
Phong: A portal has opened in level 31.
Matrix: Probably just more travelers.
Phong: I'm afraid not child. It seems to have originated from the Super Computer.
Bob and Matrix together: WHAT?!?
Matrix: We'll go down and check it out right now.
Phong: I have some other news.
Dot: What is it?
Phong: You may want to bring Katie down to the Principal Office right away.
Matrix: What about the portal.
Phong: It can weight. 
Matrix: But oh fine!
(They exit the Diner and get on their zip-boards. They head towards the P.O. )
Katie: What do you think it is?
Dot: I don't know. But it sounded urgent.
Katie: What ever it is, I'm sure it could have weighted. Judging by Matrix and Bob's reaction, I'm sure that the portal thing was more important. What's wrong with the Super Computer or what ever?
Bob: In the super computer, there's a super virus named Daemon. 
Matrix: She's infected all of the guardians, accept Bob and me.
AndrAIa: She once sent a web creature into Mainframe. And she might come back to finish the job herself. 
Mouse: Not to mention catch Bob and Matrix in the process.
Katie: That would be bad.
Mouse: Yuh can bet on it, suga.
Katie: Well in that case we definantly should have checked out that other thing, whatever it's called, fist.
Ray: You mean the portal?
Katie: Yeah, that too.
(They arrive at the PO, and enter.)
Phong: I'm glad you have come, I have come across something concerning in Katie's diagnostics. 
Katie: What is it? What wrong?
Phong: It seems that the electric shock she suffered has greatly changed her molecules. 
Katie: Is that bad?
Phong: I'm afraid so, you see, the changing of your molecules has made it impossible to send you back.
Katie: What?
Phong: We can't send you home. I'm sorry.
(Katie sits down heavily in a chair nearby. She puts her head in her hand.)
Katie: No, oh, no. 
(Katie sighs heavily, and looks up. She is not crying, but it is clear she wants to, and there is pain in her eyes.)
(AndrAIa puts her arm around Katie.)
Ray: Um Sure we can fin a way to send ya back home some how, mate.
Katie: I hope so. If you'll excuse me, I need some time to be alone.
(Katie gets up and walks out the door. She gets on a zip-board and heads to a bench and sits down. Alex just happens to be going past and notices her.)
Alex: What's wrong with you? Yell at the wrong person?
(Katie looks at him.)
Katie: Go away.
Alex: Well THAT was blunt.
Katie: My life has just been ruined, OK? Get lost!
Alex: Nice to see you still have that attitude of yours. 
Katie: You like to annoy people don't you?
Alex: Not especially, but…
Katie: My life is gone, and you don't even have the decency to leave me alone? Can't you see I'm in total misery? Now please, just go away, and leave me alone. 
Alex: What happened? 
Katie: Why do you care?
Alex: Maybe I can help.
Katie: I don't know you at all.
Alex: Ok, I'm Alex. Who are you?
Katie: I'm Katie. 
Alex: Ok, now what happened.
Katie: Well, it's along story, you probably wouldn't care anyway…
Alex: I asked didn't I.
Katie: Well, I'm not from around here. I'm from another place. I'm not from the net, or the web. I'm from the user's world. I had tests done on me to prove it. I almost found away home, but It was destroyed, and my molecules where permanently changed. Now I can't go home. I'm stuck here. It's not a bad place, don't get me wrong. But, it's not MY place. I want to go home. 
Alex: Oh, I see.
Katie: I can't ever go back, I'll never see my dog again, or my rabbit, birds or fish. I'll never see Mom or Dad again, or RJ.
Alex: Who's RJ?
Katie: RJ is my 10-year-old brother. I'll never see him or my little sister Anna again. I'll never finish my books, never be a singer, never make any movies, Never go into the Army, never go into space like I've always dreamed of. I'll my never hear any of my favorite songs, never read any more of my favorite books, never see any of my friends, never see my favorite shows or movies, never.
Alex: Well, maybe there is still away to send you home, or at least communicate with them.
Katie: Nope. There's no way that know of anyway.
Alex: Well, I'm sure it will all turn out for the best. I've gotta go.
Katie: Hey Alex?
Alex: Yeah? 
Katie: Thanks.
(Alex smiles as he gets on his zip-board.)
Alex: No problem.
(He zips away and Katie is left sitting on the park bench. Dot rushes up to her.)
Dot: You ok Katie?
Katie: I'm fine.
Dot: Phong was looking over your tests again, and he found something.
Katie: What? Did he find a way to send me home? 
Dot: I don't know, he didn't say what it was. But he said to get you immediately.
Katie: I'm coming. Oh my gosh! What about the portal? We forgot about it!
Dot: He sent Bob, Matrix, and Ray to check it out.
Katie: OK, then let's hurry.

Scene XIX
(They are at the PO. Phong is looking over some tests. Katie is sitting on a medical table. Dot, Mouse, and Enzo, AndrAIa are on her right, Phong is on her left. He gives her a small electric shock.)
Katie: AIEEE! What did you do that for?
Phong: I have been looking over your tests to see if I could find anything and got some very interesting results. It seems that although the electric shock changed your molecules so that we were unable to fend you home, It has also changed them so that they gave you minor powers. Giving you the electric shock was merely to enhance them.
Katie: Oh, ok
(Katie stops in mid sentence, wide-eyed, does a double take and looks at Phong.)
Katie: WHAT!?!?!?! 
Phong: You now have minor powers. 
Katie: Like what?
Phong: I do not know child. We must see.
Katie: How do I activate them?
Phong: They are already activated.
(Katie points at a sign out side the window. A red spark shoots from her finger and hits the sign, putting a hole straight through it.
Enzo: Dude!
AndrAIa: Pixelatious!
Dot: Alphanumeric!
Katie: Woah!
(Katie steps off the medical table and her feet stay floating about half a foot above the ground.)
Katie: Wow!
(Matrix, Bob, and Ray enter.)
Ray: What did we miss mates?
Enzo: Just that.
(Enzo points to Katie who is still floating.)
(They all are n shock for a few minutes. They are wide eyed and their jaws have gone slack.)
Matrix: What the?
Phong: The electric shock she received enabled her with powers.
Bob: What else can she do?
Katie: We don't know entirely. But I know one other thing I can do. 
Ray: What's that?
Katie: I can zap stuff.
Ray: Ah.
(Katie lowers herself down to the ground.)
Dot: What did you find in Level 31?
Ray: Nothing, by the time we got there, what ever it was, was gone.
Katie: You should have checked the portal out first.
Phong: There is one other thing. You will need and Icon.
Katie: Icon?
Ray: Like we have.
Katie: Oh, I see. Why do I need an Icon?
Dot: SO you can reboot.
Katie: Reboot? What's that?
AndrAIa: It helps you down load useful information, data and tools to help you when you go into a game.
Katie: Oh, I'll need that incase RJ decides to make use of my computer.
Phong: You being a user, you need a different kind. 
(Phong reaches into his drawer and pulls out a red and gold PDI Icon.)
Dot: Those also have your personal PDI codes.
Katie: Are they sort of like Ids?
Dot: Maybe. What Are Ids?
Katie: They're little cards that have personal information about you.
Dot: Yes, they are like Ids. Accept if someone gets a hold of them, they can make you do whatever they want.
 Katie: Oh. I guess I'll have to be pretty careful with this little thing then, won't I?
(Katie puts it on the turtleneck of her short-sleeve shirt.)
Katie: Thanks.
(A binome enters.)
Binome: Ma'am?
Dot: Yes?
Binome: There is some one here to see you.
Dot: Send them in.
(The binomes exit and a few seconds later, Meg, Rick, Crystal, Benjy, Alextron and Athena enter. They are still in their guardian uniforms. This is what makes everyone shocked.
