The eternal punching bag of the Ranma universe starts us off on this journey through cute guys in Anime. This Shakespere-quoting, dumb as a brick hunk is definitely one to watch out for. He studies Kendo, a martial art which relies heavily on the use of a bokken (Really big sword). He's also taken with not one, but two characters: Tendou Akane and Saotome Ranma (The girl version). His devotion to them, and his willingness to keep coming back to them even after getting his butt handed to him by every Ranma character in existance, makes for quite the striking man.

Name: Tenchi Masaki

Series: Tenchi Muyo

Not the most handsome man in anime by any stretch of the imagination, Tenchi is your everyman martial artist... Until his home becomes dominated by a veritable harem full of beautiful alien women trying to marry him, and kill the others in the process! On any day at all, all of these aliens come roaming in and out of his house... blowing up this and that, and causing unbelievable mischief.

Name: D

Movie: Vampire Hunter D

D is a man with a tortured past. Rather, he's a half-bred Vampire who now goes around killing his brethren. He's also got a hand with a mind of its own, which can heal him by eating dirt (Long story--watch the anime for details).

He's the strong and silent type, mostly because he doesn't want anyone to know about his... special... lineage, which makes me feel bad for him. The man has no family, and pushes away those who would try to take their place.

The movie, of which he's the title character, is about his struggle to help a village girl with her vampire problem while trying to resist his own urges to kill her himself. It's quite a powerful piece of animation, and worth taking a look it. I believe an updated remake is in the works for late next year. Be sure to get your hands on it.

And, any man who can overcome an open invitation from a girl as beautiful as Doris deserves to be on this list.

Name: Ken Masters

Empire: Every ounce of Street Fighter available, from anime to Video Games

I love blondes. I simply love the way they look. There's some kind of physical attraction to them that I go crazy over.

And, physical attraction is where it's at with this guy, because his personality doesn't really strike me as much. He's always the impatient one in the team of "Ken and Ryu". It's my sneaking suspicion that he's the Japanese's stereotype of the typical American, especially teamed up with a semi-conventional Japanese.

Unfortunately, this is one of the few guys I know there's no chance of having, since he's kinda married (To Eliza) with a kid (Named Sean) ^^;;;

But, looks get him everyplace, and this list is no different.

Name: Guru Clef

Series: Magic Knight Rayearth

This guy gets on my list for sheer coolness alone. It seems like he's always got something up his sleeve. And it's not just a feeling. From day one, he knew all about what was going to happen, even up to the end. He was willing to sacrifice himself for the better good, and even managed to help the Magic Knights while he was trapped in stone. Now, there's a man.

He's also quiet and withdrawn, never allowing anyone to get too close to him, lest they discover all the horrors he's seen in his lifetime. He hides himself in a shell because of it, and I don't think he's ever had anyone to truly talk to.

Name: Date Seiji

Series: Yoroiden Samurai Troopers

Forget Toma, this guy's where the good stuff's at. As I mentioned when I wrote up my reasons for Ken, I've got a slight thing for blondes. Even the ones with a lifetime supply of DipDoo gel. ^.~

Seiji is the true ladies' man, able to get a date with any thing that moves and has a pair of...

Well, what I mean is... He's got an amazing talent to woo any girls possible, possibly because of his gift for "Curtosey". And I've now decided that you'd better read the #4 guy before I start to get nasty...

Name: Hayami Seiji

Series: Cutey Honey F(lash)

Now, I can't say much for this guy's powers of deductive reasoning. He goes practically the first 20 eps helping out both Kisaragi Honey and Cutey Honey in almost everything she did, without noticing that they were the same girl... Although I give him more credit than I do the Sailormoon supporting cast. At least Honey changes her appearence when she transforms... And, he did figure it out for himself, without dismissing it and being really shocked when she finally transformed in front of him...

But, aside from that, Seiji has shown himself to be probably the best friend Honey has. From what I've seen, he's the only one who can really help her without being her evil sister, father gone over to the other side, or "boyfriend" who tries to kill her half the time. I think they'd make a really cute couple, if Honey could ever get over that Prince guy...

Name: Pegasus/Erios

Series: Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon S(uper)S

Another quiet, withdrawn hero graces this top 10 list. Jeez, I'm getting predictible...

But, you do have to feel bad for this guy. First, he's cursed into taking the form of a horse (That alone's just gotta suck!), and then he's chased down by the Dead Moon for his Golden Horn, has to hide inside Chibiusa's dream, ends up falling in love with her, and has to put up with all the Sailor Senshi not trusting him for the first half of the series. No wonder the kid's got white hair...

Name: Tamahome (The Bad version, Mrrrow!)

Series: Fushigi Yuugi (Mysterious Play)

I adore just about every character Midorikawa Hikaru voices. Hikaru-sama just happens to voice Tamahome. ^.~ Sure, Tama-chan has a habit of getting on one's nerves (He yells "Miakaaaa!!!" way too much. ^.~;), but he's undeniably a hottie when he's evil. Ruthless, with that kick-ass bandana, (Which, unfortunately, I couldn't find a decent enough picture of him wearing..) Bad Tamahome takes a big piece of the cake for great two-dimensional men.

And, the Number one Anime Hunk is....

Name: Zelgadis Greweres

Series: Slayers

If you've read this far, you've probably figured out how I have a thing for the quiet, opressed guy. Here you have poor Zelgadis, whos Grandfather/Great-Grandfather (Long story--Don't ask!!) used his magic to give him exactly what he'd always wanted... To be unbeatable. What he got was to become one-third human, one-third golem, and one-third demon. It gave him a nearly indestructible stone skin, but also a physical appeareance that'd send any normal person running for the hills. Because of that incident, he's quiet and withdrawn, (Yeah, another one ^.^) and only ventures into a city if he's got his trusty cloak and mask covering his face. His eternal search for a cure to his condition is both inspiring and depressing, as this sweet man goes through any and every kind of torture to end that of his daily life.

And, really, isn't putting up with Lina and crew enough of a punishment?
