Jessie's
Awards
So, you want to win one of
my prestigious awards? Read on to see how.
What makes this award so
different from other ones is that I don't just give out awards for anything.
When I look at a site, I take notice of everything. When I post the winners
on my page, I always include reasons why they were chosen. See
the winners?
If you apply, you'll always
get a response from me, win or lose. If you win, I'll give you the HTML
snippet of the award you've recieved. Wether or not you get an award, I'll
reserve an area of the email to give you ideas on what you can do to improve
your page. There is rarely a page that cannot be improved on, mine included.
Losers, winners of the "Usagi Confidence Award," and anyone else
who wants to are welcome to try again after remodeling their page and see
if they can get an award they'd like better. Example, if you were hoping
for the Research award, but you get the Old Senpai award, this is a hint
that you need better information. Improve, and try again.
By now you may be wondering
what kinds of awards I'm giving out. Here's the selection:
Mako-chan's Old Senpai
Award:
This award is given to those
sights which I fall in love with at first sight. Nice layout and great
images play a good portion of the qualifications for this.

Sailor Venus' Friendship
Award:
This is given to my friends'
webpages. Sorry, there's no applying for this. If this seems like nepotism,
that's probably because that's exactly what this award is designed for.
Gomenne!

Ami-chan's Research Award:
This is for web pages that
do their homework. Only the sites with the most correct information can
even hope to get this award.

Rei-chan's Shrine Award:
Exactly what it sounds like,
this award is for the best shrine pages.

Sailor Chibimoon's Sickeningly
Kawaii Award:
This award goes out to the
pages which are so crammed full of sugary-sweet yumminess that I get cavities
just from looking at it. Chibiusa and Chibi Chibi pages generally have
the best shots at this one.

Usagi-chan's Confidence
Award
This goes out to sites that
aren't all that special yet, but have TONS of potential. This goes for
a lot of archive pages of any kind that have a good layout but not a lot
of time to build up anything. I have confidence that these sites will someday
become great.

Sailor Team's Planet Power
Award:
This is the ULTIMATE award
for only the BEST sites. You really have to blow me away to get a crack
at this one.

Also, some all-around rules
(I'm sick of seeing the same stuff on pages over and over again...)
1- Make sure that your page
works in Netscape 3.0. I don't ever want to have to open up MSIE again...
Besides, any good page works in any browser.
2- I dun wanna see any little nudie Sailor Senshi sprinkled around the
page
3- No direct linking. That is one of the biggest no-nos of web page making.
Believe me, I will be checking the HTML source...
Now that that's settled,
lemme know about you:
The awards application form has been taken down for the time
being. I don't have the patience to deal with it on my cruddy home modem...
All people who've sent in their applications prior to this have been filed,
and will be dealt with as soon as I have time.
