Luna tried to cheer Mina up by saying that Serena was only "pure" because she "purely" liked eating, skipping classes and sleeping. Mina still denied that it bothered her. "Serena," asked Mina very seriously, "would you do me a favour?"
"Oh yes of course," replied Serena. Mina lifted the bag full of good-luck charm dolls (they looked like little gnomes), "Would you take half of these?"

Mina went to a bookstore and found a book entitled "Pure Heart". [Many books at the store had Sailor Moon related titles. Some of the titles written in English were "Moon", "Star" and "Talisman by Haruka and Michiru"].

Mina read that "a pure heart is a state of mind when concentrating with enthusiasm". She thought that Serena matched that definition since she was very enthusiastic about certain things. "I am a more mature person, with varied interests," thought Mina. Haruka and Michiru saw Mina and the title of the book she was reading. Mina asked Haruka and Michiru what they thought a pure heart was. Haruka and Michiru thought Mina might know their secret identies or something about the talismans! They replied that they didn't know anything about the subject.
Mina asked what they thought a person should do to be pure-hearted. Be kind? Take care of others? A Red Cross truck drove by advertising a blood-donation clinic. Haruka made a suggestion, "How about donating..." Mina ran off before she could finish her sentence.
"I guess we over-reacted," remarked Haruka. Mina suddenly reappeared. She thanked Haruka and Michiru, and gave them each a good luck charm doll! 		The professor called Witches 5 and asked who the new target was. "Yes, I found a wierd person with a pure heart," said Eudial, "but I'm concerned about interference from the Sailor Senshi." The professor said he would make a daimon to solve that problem. The professor tried to put a whole wooden door into his daimon machine, but it wouldn't fit. He cut out the lock from the door and put that into the machine instead.
Mina rushed into the blood donation clinic and claimed that she was 18. The secretary didn't seem to care. Mina went in and donated blood. "Blood donation," she thought, "How pure I am to devote myself to others... Super-pure!"
Later, Serena was telling Darien about Mina and how she was lying about her age and donating blood every day. Darien said they couldn't do anything to stop her and should just watch her in case she got attacked.
 Meanwhile, the other girls were doing exactly that. "If she has to go to the effort of donating blood," asked Artemis, "do you think she really is pure?" Everyone was shocked at the thought. Then they all shook their heads "Pure, pure, pure, yes of course, sure she is, pure, pure..."
When Mina came out of the blood donation clinic, Serena gave her some vitamins to help keep up her strength. Mina was cheerfully chugging the vitamins when suddenly Eudial pulled up in her white car and shot her! Serena was horrified to see Mina freeze in mid-stride. Mina's pure heart came out of her body and her eyes went lifeless.
 Mina leaned forward with a strange mechanical motion and grasped her own pure heart crystal! She turned to the horrified Serena. "Pure heart," giggled Mina, "Came out..."
"Heh, that's good," stammered Serena, "So, let's put it back now..."
Mina cackled and ran away!
Eudial chased Mina in her car and Serena followed on foot. Haruka and Michiru (who had also been keeping an eye on Mina) chased after Eudial as well. The other girls tried to catch up but Artemis slipped on Mina's dropped vitamin bottles and tripped everyone! Mina ran into an out-of-use underground parking garage. Eudial in her car was the first to find her. Mina had finally collapsed. continue...
