  • 3/9 Well it's March 2004 already, somehow and life continues. Right now I'm updating from Sara and Pat's apartment in Carrollton. It's Spring Break... my first teacher spring break... which I have determined is even more enjoyable than student spring break. Yes... very enjoyable. I think it has to do with the freedom to determine precisely what you do with the break... and the realization that you're getting just as much money this month as you get any other month in which you work all four weeks. mmmm. Anyway... my parents have been in town since Friday, which has been nice. They're staying with me, which, while it sounds potentially cramped and uncomfortable, hasn't been bad at all. We've gotten a lot done. My apartment is clean clean clean and we turned in a list of maintenance issues today which will be taken care of by the aprtment complex. We also visited my school today, so Mom and Dad got to see where I work and whatnot. Then, the kicker for the day... Mom and Dad took me on a surprise Worley Family Field Trip to Weatherford. To see a statue of Mary Martin as Peter Pan. I don't really know anything about Mary Martin other than the fact that she was a woman who made a living playing a boy who wouldn't grow up and she flew around stage and stuff. And today I know that she's from Weatherford. So, that's nice. That's pretty much what I did today. Tomorrow we're supposedly going to the zoo. That's we (me Sara and Pat) not we (me Mom and Dad). We'll see whether or not that happens. We've talked about going to the zoo before but never actually followed through. We shall see. Annnnyway... Queer Eye is coming on. Must go!
  • 3/16 Another Tuesday night, another update. This time I'm on Dad's laptop at my apartment, just finished another long day and about to go watch Gilmore Girls. My 7th and 8th graders have a concert on Thursday night, their pre-festival concert. I think... I think they'll survive it, but I don't think anyone will confuse them for the Best Choir Ever. By any stretch. I've also been doing a lot of step classes, working out quite a bit at ye olde 24 Hour Fitness. So... I'm a tired girl today. Tomorrow is more of the same, substitute Bible Study where Gilmore Girls is and move the workout up an hour. [sigh] I'm ready for school to be over... Spring Break was too temptingly wonderful. Ah well. To Gilmore Girls I go.
