6/1 Hello hello! Just cleaning my room, and while turning all my calendars to June, I thought to myself "hey.... I have a website... almost forgot about that crazy thing...." So here I am. I've had a really nice, relaxing last three weeks or so that I've been out of school, and I've had a lot of fun, but I expect that come next week or so, 'twill be time to suck it up and spend a little time doing JCP childcare. Adecco is having troubles placing people, and thusly I'm going to have to break down and call JCP. Ah well... it's been fun. Next week, much of my time may be occupied by sitting in on the NHC tour rehearsals, if I decide to do that... but I suppose that the time I'm not spending at church, I will spend working, or at least doing stuff for Mommy. Mommy returns home from West Virginia sometime tomorrow or Sunday. So... there you have it. Next Saturday I depart for NHC tour to California... so I'm currently debating whether to (a) "oops" forget my swimsuit, much as I have for the last several years or (b) actually attempt to find a swinsuit, only to later decide never to venture out in it, reverting instead to almost but not quite as dreaded shorts and a tank top of some description. hmmm. Decisions, decisions. Other than that, not a lot is up... just sort of bumming around, for lack of work. Eh. But... I'm going to get back to the room cleaning now... so.... byeeee!
6/17 Happy Father's Day all! How is it that it's the 17th and this is the mere second time I've written this month? Ah well. Life is good. Just got back from NHC tour to California yesterday. It was a very good tour and I had a lot of fun. Tomorrow is the beginning of VBS and I'm leading music... so... I don't know what that really means, other than I'll be brushing up on my improvisational teaching skilz this week. Tomorrow is also an event in that it is the date of the Radiohead concert in Houston, so I'll be having quite the long day. There's a whole group of us going... me and Clint and Michael Richoux and Carrie & Theresa from the coffeeshop and Aaron Edds from church.... and I guess that's it. So right after VBS wraps up tomorrow we're headed out for Houston, and we'll go to the concert and all that... and drive straight back home, same night, so that we can all do normal life on Tuesday. Or at least so me and Clint can still do VBS. So... should be interesting. But really, that's pretty much the extent of things just now... so... I'll sign off!
6/28 Hi Hi Hi! Once again, using the website as a healthy alternative to actually cleaning my room. Hmmm. Well, June is drawing to a close, and I haven't really said much on here about my life for at least a month, if not closer to two. Life is good. I've somehow managed to keep busy, or at least fairly busy, without ever actually doing any work... that is, work for which one is paid. Ah well. Let's see... the last few weeks... Well, let's see. This week I've been mostly bumming around and hanging out with Mom during the day, and teaching at the Summer Sampler at church at night. I had a number of doctor appointments and stuff this week. This weekend is the Chancel Choir Patriotic Pops Concert on Saturday. Mom and Maria and I will be singing as "The Worley Women", doing our rendition of "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", complete with Bugle Boy Mark Thompson. It's going to be neat. This week Clint and all my other church pals (with the exception of Andrea) have been in Mexico on mission trip, and Sara has been in Oklahoma working at her grandparents' fireworks stand. So it's been me and mom for the most part, except for I think one or two random social things... one visit to the coffeeshop and one outing with Andrea. Last night Sara came back into town for one day though, so we did what all girls do when faced with a night out on the town... we went to Hooters. aaaaaaaahahahaha... It was one of those things that was a joke at first, but then we actually went. So, you know, whatever. Um... I don't think I'll be going back though. Whatever. Food's not that good. So, I think Sara and I will probably do something this afternoon, while she's still in town... but thats about all I've got planned for the rest of the week. Saturday Clint and company return, and Sunday, Danielle and Ethan and Clint and I, accompanied by Danielle's Mom, will be headed down to San Antonio to see STOMP. We'll be staying there for the night and head back Monday. Monday and Tuesday I'll be packing and doing similar last minute things before I head off to Taizé on Wednesday, the 4th. And I'll be in France until the 16th, just in time to come back and help with Music Splash Week. Oooh Ahhh. And then I swear I'll really secure a job. Perhaps in Lewisville. Hm. Anyway. As to what I've been doing that I haven't updated about. Well, last week was VBS at church, and I was "The Singing Lady"... aka Music Teacher... aka Miss Terri. It was super fun. I had just short of 200 kids, I think, and I had super fun with them. GOt lots and lots of hugs. The Monday night of Bible School was the Radiohead concert in Houston, around the last time I updated. A bunch of us went down to Houston together Monday afternoon in Clint's parents' van, which they were extremely kind to let us use. The group was of course me and Clint, as well as Clint's friend Michael Richoux, our mutual frined Aaron from church, and friends Carrie and Theresa, coffeeshop employees. We drove down that afternoon and got there in all kinds of time for the show, which was very very good, and then we drove immediately back. We stopped at a Denny's around Huntsville on the way back, but other than that, Clint and Michael shared driving responsibilities and we made it back in a straight shot. We got home around 4:30 am I think. I had not driven to Clint's, so I didn't have a car at his house when we got there, and didn't want to put him through another 30 minutes of driving the round trip to take me home, so I crashed there on the couch until it was time for VBS, after which I went home. But overall, it was pretty cool. [thumbs up] And, I guess that's a thorough enough update, eh? I think I'm done!
