a summary of my activities in january 2002 write me!
1/15 Hi nice guys. Writing tonight from Denton where I have been in class again for two days this semester.. and i figured maybe it's about time to update this site here. Let's see. This semester I'm taking 18 hours. Four 3-hour classes, two choirs, a methods class, piano, and voice. That's 18 hours. The 3-hour classes are Child Development, Teaching Music in Secondary Schools, Choral Techniques, and Teaching Literacy. I'm going to be learning viola in Strings Methods. I'm in Piano IV again because I'm a loser. I'm in voice... last semester of voice, actually. If you can believe that. Seems weird to me, that I'm so close to done with so many things. huh. And then the two choirs are of course ACap and JS1. My seat in ACap is guaranteed for life, as long as I want it. JS1 has no guarantees. I had to reaudition yesterday. Out of the 5 girls and 6 guys that had seats (and all wanted their seats back, incidentally) in a group that's supposed to be 6 & 6... 4 girls and 5 guys survived. So, yeah, he demoted one guy and one girl down to JS2. But, by the grace of God, twas not me. We've got 3 new folks, 2 new girls and a new guy. We start rehearsing with them next week. Today we had a rehearsal with the old group, preparing for Thursday's gigs... but next week we start new stuff for spring. Thursday, incidentally, we're singing at [drumroll please] PLANO EAST! Oooooooh. And then that evening we're doing a concert in Fort Worth. So... yep. I'm sure there's other stuff for me to say, but for some reason right now I'm not concentrating too well. So I'll sign off.
