2/1 So it looks like I don't know how to log onto the computer or something... =) Things have been going steadily along for the past 5 days or whatever.... Sorry for the lack of updates... There's really surprisingly little to report... Today I bought the Christina Aguilera CD... Me gusta =)
I did training at MARC this weekend, so I start working next weekend. It looks like it could be frustrating at times, but it shouldn't be too bad overall. =) Other than that, school is starting to crank up, so things are looking like real work these days. So that at least aprtially explains the lack of updates, I think. But I really don't have much time to spend on this, so I'm signing off... I'll keep you posted if I think of anything! =)
2/2 Well, things have been going well... the days get more and more productive as they pass... I've had my first lesson with David Sundquist, and he assigned me this semester's repetoire, which I will list, for those that are interested: "Lasciatemi morire!", "Se tu m'ami, se sospiri", "Se Florindo è fedele", "Bist du bei mir", "Nymphs and Shepherds", and "Elégie". Should be fun... =) Other than that, Sara and I have started doing aerobics classes at the gym we joined... two days in a row now! It's good... I think I can stick with it, especially with Sara as my roommate... I can't just pretend I'm busy. =) She knows I'm really just watching Growing Pains on the Disney Channel. =) just kidding, Mom and Dad... Speaking of Mom and Dad... this is my plea: I don't know what your plans are for this weekend, but I'm sure you know how very appreciated it would be for you to show up with Chuck's microwave... =) I actually have a little bit of a wish list from home, which I will email to Dad if I don't forget. And in regard to the whole car situation, I'm trying not to psh the issue or anything, but I just thought I'd mention that Sara is working Sunday at like 12 or 12:30 or something, which potentially conflicts with church things... and with just one car between us, the options are slim. Incidentally, we went to a prayer group tonight which was very very cool. These people are very true and are really out there trying to be His people, which is refreshing, not to mention inspiring... so, you know... Prayer, it does a body good. The group will hopefully become a Wednesday night thing for us. We also got invited to a girls night out thing with the church group for next weekend. They're all very nice and open... it's cool... Well, it's late.... must run.... g'night!
2/9 No, contrary to popular beief as this website would have it, I did not die.... I'm not being too good about updating, am I? oops! Oh well... Things are good... trying desperately to win tickets to the Backstreet Boys by calling in to KISS every hour. Luckily, the only way that it will charge our long distance is if they pick up... and if they pick up, then we won. So we don't really mind too much. Classes are good. This government class is just a pain. Why? Why oh why do I have to take government? I'm a good citizen... must I really understand the Mayflower Compact? Surely not... Other than that class, my other classes are decent... particularly Ear Training, Voice, French Diction, and of course Choir... I just found out yesterday that the Grand Chorus that meets every Tuesday night counts as an additional hour on my transcript... so I'm taking 17 hours. Ooooooooooooh.... But anyway, I must run for now, but I will try to update more from here on out... much love!
2/13 Well, I'm doing real well at updating more, eh? haha... Right now I'm actually updating at about 12:30 in the morning, wee early on Valentine's Day... so, happy v-day! Sara is finishing up an aerobics tape... I'm going to proceed to vent now... Crumley Hall, where I live, is ridiculously uptight. We got written up the other night for noise, which was basically us so foolishly attempting to carry on a normal conversation past midnight. And so ever since then, Sara's been shushing me everytime I talk "too loud"... and don't get me wrong, I don't blame Sara... it's not her fault... but basically, everytime I talk at a normal volume, that's "too loud". So, basically I'm resolving to not talk during quiet hours, like, at all. I find it so frustrating. Other than that, life is good... the concerts I went to this weekend, Waterdeep and of course the Judds, were fabulous! And we went to church this morning, which was good. Same church, second visit. Well, I should go to bed, before I get the crazy urge to.... oh I don't know.... speak.
2/16 Well things are sort of slowing down somehow, which is rare for a Wednesday, but somehow that's the case for today. Sara is ironing her sheets (i know, i know.... yikes) and we're listening to Macy Gray while I take care of a few things online before we go to dinner. I've had a lovely last few days. Valentine's was roughly as enjoyable as could be expected. I opened a savings account yesterday so I now have somewhere to put my paychecks, and since it's a savings account, I'm limited to one withdrawl a month, which means maybe I won't just spend all my money because I have it! Imagine that! I just finished the mother of all online email surveys. It was insanely long. Other than that, there's really not much going on right now. The closest thing to news that I got today was a tenative concert schedule for ACappella Choir, which is now posted in the future events section of this very page! So, that's it! I'm gone for now...
2/23 Once again, I've waited awhile to keep you in suspense.... See? It's really all just for your entertainment...! anyway... for those of you that have been looking at this page every day only to be disappointed time and time again, be aware... this weekend I plan to do a good deal of mainenance on the page, since I'm finishing my first round of tests this week, and don't forsee any major anything for this weekend... So, I may actually change some of the other parts of the page so it looks like I really do go to UNT and not IU. Also, if I ever bother to pick up the film I got developed from sometime last month, then you might see some different pictures make their way on to the site! In real news, I quit my job on Friday, because I just got real tired real fast of calling and harassing people that really weren't in the mood to talk. So, I'm looking for other employment, but am having very little luck thus far. Who knows. As to grades, which I know Dad wants to hear about... all I really know thus far is that I just asked my Aural Skills teacher if I could see mine, and he said (in his thick Chinese accent) "Yu doh nee tu wahree", which is, for those of you not familiar with written accents... You don't need to worry. So, I guess that's a good thing. But in bad news, for those of you that got that long survey I filled out a week ago... THE BEAUTIFUL BOY DROPPED AURAL SKILLS!!!! [weeping] Oh well, I'll live. ha! =) Anyway, gotta run to lunch, but I'll update this weekend, if not sooner!
2/27 Ha, fooled you... you may have already noticed that I haven't done a single thing to modify the page... Well, I ended up unexpectdly weekending in Plano, and just plain didn't bother to mess with the page at all... So, better luck next time, kids! haha... but my weekend in Plano has been fun... nice to see some people again, although not nearly enough time to see everyone I might like to see... I did Steak and Ale with the rents on Friday night and picked up Chuck from the airport from his sudden business trip to Utah. Saturday was a day for a walk with Chuck... I think we went over a couple of miles, and then the fam went to THE LOCAL FAZOLI'S!!! How Happy Am I That There Is A Fazoli's In Carrolton????? EXTREMELY!!!!!! Then we watched Drop Dead Gorgeous and 10 Things I Hate About You. Incidentally, I LOVE 10 Things I Hate About You... LOVE IT! Especially the paintball scene... gotta love the paintball scene... ah, but I digress.... Then I went out with dear Kelli who kept me out until 4am, and I went to early church in the morning and came home, where I am writing from right now.... ah, but lunchtime has come and the movies are almost due... so, gotta go!
2/28 Well, I've been very tired today, but I'm pulling through... There's lots to do, but I don't know that much of it is worth posting here. So, I'm going to go do a little web updating now, and then I'm taking a nap and getting back to work.
2/29 Well, I couldn't let Leap Day go by without at least acknowledging it here online. I'm hard at work on my lovely little Government paper. Have I mentioned yet that I don't like this class and that I'm a good citizen? I think so. Anyway, I must run and compare the Declaration of Independence, the Mayflower Compact, the Massachusetts Body of Liberties, and the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut. Woo-hoo.
