a summary of my activities in december 2000 write me!
12/1 Hello hello! Sorry I haven't updated in kinda a long time... I've been procrastinating... But today is the first of the month, and unless I want the site to be really out of date, I need to do some stuff today... I'm just going to write this quick little entry right now, and then I have Jazz Singers II last day of class and then Shelly is talking like she might be up here to meet me for lunch! How fun is that? Then tonight is the Jazz Singers I concert, which promises to be AWESOME. At some point, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow morning, depending on how late the jazz singers concert ends, I'll be heading back to Plano, so I can see the Christmas Parade in Plano in the morning.... then kids choir has a rehearsal in the afternoon. Their show is Sunday night! Ack! =) No, they'll be great. =) Saturday night, Old 97's are playing Fort Worth, and who knows? If I'm bored (which I usually am in Plano on Saturday night, ha) then I may go. We shall see. As far as school goes, three of my classes are officially over... Italian Diction had its final on Tuesday in the form of a song test. I got an A. I have an A in that class, no problem. ACap had its last practice also on Tuesday, and our grades are merely attedance-based, so assuming tardies didn't kill me, and I don't think they did, I have an A, seeing as I never missed a class. Same with Jazz Singers II... our last practice is today at noon, but as far as grades are concerned, I'm pretty sure I'd have to work real hard to not get an A. So, my next class to end will be voice on Wednesday at 2:24, followed by Aural Skilz Friday at about 11. The next to end will be... hm... Theory Monday morning the 11th, then Piano later that day... Government ends Tuesday and Conducting comes in last, on Friday the 15th with a lovely written exam heavy on transpositions! Woo-hoo! And that's everything, I think. [sigh] Then I get to go home and work for Alcatel! yesssss. Ah, but I think I'm going to go to Jazz practice now... so I'll be back later to update the lyrics of the day and all that stuff... some new quotes perhaps... later!
12/7 Sorry! Sorry I never update.... I'm such a bad person... Well, things are pretty busy around here... I've officially finished, as in never have to touch again, 3 classes (my 2 choirs and Italian Diction). So yea for that! In real news, I'm also working diligently towards completed Christmas Shopping! So, failing a real burst of divine inspiration, I'm done as soon as I finish purchasing Sara's remaining (as of this morning) 21 packs of diet cokes... so yea for that too! Everything's going pretty well though... Tomorrow Aural Skilz ends with a bang by making me play the Star Spangled Banner in 2 random keys of 9. The next class to end will be theory, with a final Monday morning... followed by my piano final at 11 or so. Tuesday brings the end of my Government class. And last and least (jk) is Conducting, which will end in a written exam on next Friday! All is well though... today I have no classes, so I'm going to go see François's jury later this afternoon and then he and I are going to dinner, last I heard. And that's seriously all I have to do today! haha except of course practice the Star Spangled Banner and all that stuff. But I feel good about stuff overall! yea! I'm going ot go now though... so... bye!
12/10 Well, really, I had an exceptionally bad (that is to say, emotionally trying) day today. But I'm pulling through. I have two finals tomorrow... one is theory, which is a little frightening, but I'll be OK. The other is piano, which is more of a test than a final, in that this test is equally weighted with the other two that we have had thus far this semester. My day was just sort of hard... but frankly, I don't really care to recount it here. haha. Not that it's not internet worthy, really.... just that I don't really want to rehash it. I will say that I stopped by Barnes and Noble on my way out of Plano, and I bought two things. One, I will not say precisely what it is here on this site, but it was Pat's Christmas present, and yes Dad, it's what you think it is. The other thing I bought was the Amy Grant "Collection" album. I'm listening to it now and I'm in a much much better mood because of it. yea! Quality sing-alongable praise music can do that for you. =) But anyway... I don't really have a lot else to add... I just thought I'd stop in and say hello on the site. So, hi! And, uh... bye!
12/12 Well, today was almost tragic, and I'm here to tell you why. I realized this morning at roughly 9:30 that the government exam that I thought was at 10:30 was really at 8:00. yeah. that's bad. Soooo...... first I cried. Then I called my Daddy to tell him I'm failing out of college. Then I got dressed and walked to by real exam, which was just wrapping up. On my walk, I kept rehearsing in my head all the many things I would say to Prof. Casey... mostly things like "I know you have no real reason to have mercy on me but I hope you will anyway" and "I guess I'm just here to beg for an incomplete, because I doubt you're going to allow me a make up exam" and of course the "I don't know how this happened, but it's easily the stupidest thing I've ever done." So, I walked in and said "Hi. I'm Terri Worley and... I'm in this class." Now, he knew I was not turning in a test, and that I had just walked in. So he said "Oh." He then said "schedule a make-up. When are you free?" I said 8am tomorrow morning, Wednesday. He said "alright. Come to Wooten 125 at 8am tomorrow." And then he got out his trusty pen and his equally trusty hand and wrote my name and "8 - Wed" on his skin.... along with about 5 other names. =) haha... but in other words, I did a stupid thing today but it's all better now. Hurrah! But I'm going to go now... so that was today's news =) bye
12/23 Twas the day before the night before Christmas, and all through the house, the people were... um, cleaning. So, I thought I'd take a quick sec to update the page a little... the main changes are to my profile and the academic report. But, right now, I'm told I should help out a bit around here... so I'll perhaps update a bit more later... so long!
