Well, I have to say.  This is the best damn handheld game I've ever played!  The original Duke is very funny, gory, and just plain fun, but if you want more language, more screams, and just plain more senseless violence, then go with GC Duke!  For every guy (and there are many of them) that you kill, Duke says something like "bitchin' " or " damn I'm good".  In fact, the only thing that this version's missing's the strippers!   I can't see how they possibly got away with a 'T' rating!  And no more stinkin' puzzles!  No more buttons to push!  It's really a cross between a rail shooter and the standard shooter.  The game swings around corners for you - where wait evil monsters - and you can't turn left or right - you only strafe - but if you get past this, then you'll love this game.   Trust me.  If you own a COM, buy it!  Footnote:  Get a good pair of head-phones when you get this game.   WIth those on, the sound of your shot-gun firing is really almost frightening!

Duke-Nukem 3-D

By PabloAB

Duke's transition to the Game.Com in short, was a success. In certain ways
more than the others. To start right off saying, Duke-Nukem's graphics are
the best I have ever seen on a 8-bit system. Of course not it real 3-D, but
definitely as close as an 8-bit will get. One of the biggest downfalls of the
otherwise almost perfect game is the really bad, bad gameplay. This level is
called "Death Row." This level is called "Abyss." This level is called
"Toxic Dump." The only difference between these levels, besides the really
corny names, is the wallpaper in the levels, and a few things here and there.
I can tell you exactly what the level will look like. You either start out in
a hallway or an open area, if you start in the hallway you will walk down
blowing away aliens, pass a few corners, and then wind up in a large open
area, open more doors to another open area, then repeat the process with the
hallways. It's just the opposite if you start out in an open area. And trust
me it might sound fun blowing away aliens the whole time. But level, after
level of the same thing, you'll think differently.

Rating: 15/20

Graphics:5
You'll never see better on
an 8-bit. Although not
3-D, very close.

Gameplay:1
The levels are completely the same
and get very old.

Sound:5
Duke's vulgar language and
cursing are still there.

Control:4
The loss of 360 degree
turns hurts the game a little.
It's hard to see if our running
into pillars or other things to your right or left.
