The Wraith is able to cloak, like the Ghost. When the Wraith is cloaked, it is invisible except to detector units.

 

The Wraith is the backbone of the Terran Air Force. They defend great against airborne attacks and for defense, but they aren't that great at offense unless your enemy has hardly any ground based defense. The Wraith's ground laser is relatively weak compared to their missles, and by the time you have several wraiths, they won't be attack you by ground too much anymore. Also, the cloaking ability makes the Wraith a great unit for strategic operations.

The Dropship transports your units much easier than by walking. You can put 8 small units, 4 medium units, or 2 large units, or any combination of the 3 in a dropship. They are indespensible on island maps, and are mandatory for doing my favorite strategy, the drop.

 

The Dropship is the transport unit for the Terran. If you are planning any type of ground invasion later in the game, these would be very useful. They are also good for spotting for Siege Tanks because Tanks can shoot further than they can see.

 

 

 
     Terran Science   Vessel

Defense Matrix is a spell that makes a force field around a unit. The force field can take considerable punishment before being destroyed.

EMP shockwave is the most strategic spell in the Terran forces. EMP shockwave takes all shields and energy from any unit in the blast radius other than the Science Vessel that casted it. Great against Archons.

Irradiate is a spell that creates a cloud of radioactive gas around a unit. It only does damage to biological units, so that makes it useful against big masses of grouped infantry units.

 

The Science Vessel is an important unit in the later game. It would be good to have 2 or 3 of them laying around, since it is the Terrans only mobile detector other than the Com Sat which isn't always very reliable. They are important to have also for all the spells they provide.

Base Armor Rating: 3 (upgrade factor: +1)

The Yamato Canon is a massive fireball that does massive damage from a long range. It is good for taking out turrets, and certain units that must be killed quickly such as Arbiters, Science Vessels, and Scouts. It is quite hefty in energy requirements, so don't count on being able to shoot them off too quickly.

 

The Battlecruiser is the strongest unit in the Terran Fleet. With 500 hit points and a powerful attack, these behemoths are very menacing in groups. A group of 12 Battlecruisers will not be stopped to easily. There aren't too many strategic uses for these other than to shoot stuff up, so it relies on the strategies of other units to pull it through a battle more efectively.

The Valkyrie is one of those units where you either need a ton of them, or none of them. If your opponent is making masses of air units, such as 36 Mutalisks, 36 Wraiths, or 24 Scouts, get about 12 of these. They may not kill them, but they will weaken them very much so that your other units can pick them off. The way the Valkyrie attacks is it shoots out 5 groups of 2 missles. They shoot out in every direction imaginable and rarely hit the target directly. But since it does splash damage, it works great against a big mob of air units. Their large amount of hit points make them one of the stronger air units.
