This single piece of old, yellowed parchment seems to have been ripped out of an ancient text of some sort. It talks about a mage of old named Eldred Flamewind, a mortal who aspired to be a god. He nearly succeded, or so claims the text, but was slain in some undescribed fashion and lain to rest in the summit of his favorite landmark, Mount Kan-tar far to the northwest, in the Sandwall Range, the mountains seperating the desert from the rest of the land. It says also that Eldred constructed two golems of living fire that he set to guard his tome from all those who he knew would seek out his treasures. Only someone of like heart could enter there, the paper reads, and by the description of his final deeds one would be led to believe that Flamewind was a very evil man.
