If you are a fan of Japanese anime, or if you're just a big cartoon nut altogether, you'll want to check out the Pokemon animated series, which airs in syndication weekdays (check local listings) It follows the adventures of a young Pokemon trainer named Ash Ketchum (Catch 'em...get it?) and his pet Pokemon Pikachu as he goes out into the world to become a Pokemon Master. With his friends Misty and Brock, Ash gets into lots of trouble as he captures more and more Pokemon and tangles with his childhood rival, Gary. As if that weren't enough, Ash must also contend with three members of Team Rocket, Jesse, James and Meowth, who find out Pikachu has special powers and try to kidnap the electric mouse. Ash and Pikachu always manage to escape as Team Rocket's plans backfire, but Ash has a long road ahead to the title of Pokemon Master! If you want more info on the show check out Pokemon Animation.
