Cloud, as you may already know, is the main character of the game. Most of the time however, he does not act as one. He goes off on his on way, and his past is scrambled and he can no longer trust even his own memory. With his sword, (the origons will be revealed in the game) he can slice up most enemies pretty badly.

My Thoughts: Well, since he IS the game's main character, you really have no choice but to use him. Fortunately, this is not a bad thing since Cloud is the most versatile character (IMO) in the game. He is good with magic, and yet can kill most enemies hand-to-hand as well. His limit breaks are always useful and very powerful right from the beginning, so he is an excellent character to have.
