What is A Collectable Card Game?

For me CCG's are a fun way to relax and socialize.
You get together in a group of at least 2 people and depending on the game, either trying to kill each other or work towards some preset goal.
Addmittedly CCG's can be an expensive habit.
Since Fall 94, I've spent at least $1000 to $2000 on different games.
However I consider it money well spent.
I've made a lot of good friends because of CCG's.
All I did was walk into a gaming and/or comic shop with my cards and started playing people I didn't know.
Because of the CCG, we had something in commen.
Another aspect of CCG's is the artwork.
I know several people who buy CCG's just because of the art, and don't play.
There are some vary talented people out there doing these cards, like Mellissa Benson, Phil Foglio and Brian Snoddy.
I myself, try to collect any Phil Foglio card I can find.
All and all, CCG's are just fun, either to collect and/or to play.
