Each graphic novel takes nine weeks worth of Yugioh, and puts them in a single volume. This is a very highly probably guess on what will be included in the next volume. BATTLE 251: The Cry That Splits The Sky! Kaiba, as his usual self, is concerned only with defeating Yugi and gaining the control of the three God card so that he can attain true victory and become the king of duelists. Yugi began on his road of battle to find the real reason to fighting. Neither he, nor Jounouchi, has yet to find it. Kaiba says there is no answer, only despair, but Yugi still knows that he will find the answer. Earlier, Yugi takes to the duel stage, despite Anzu's argument to the contrary - he would eventually end up just like Jounouchi, Mai and Bakura. Yugi knows its his fate to finish the conflict ahead, and the Millennium Tauk has shown him a future that he can trust. BATTLE 252: The Duel Colosseum In The Sky! Yugi and Kaiba begin their duel. The virtual reality system advances, and turns the surroundings into a Duel Colosseum, complete with faceless spectators. Both players draw and begin. Yugi plays a Queens Knight (4/1500/1600) in defense mode, places a card, then ends his turn. Kaiba draws, and gets Obelisk. He summons an X Cannon Head (4/1800/1500), places a card, then ends his turn. Yugi draws, plays a Kuribo in defense mode, and ends his turn. Kaiba draws, then plays Soul Exchange, which sacrifices both of Yugi's Monsters for Kaiba, and Kaiba's Monster for Yugi. However, Kaiba activates a card, Enemy Controller. ENEMY CONTROLLER Magic Give a command to one of your opponent's Monsters on the Field with the Enemy Controller. 1000 Life + Up, Left, Down, Right, A = Explode 1000 Life + Left, Right, A, B = Sacrifice Kaiba pays the 1000 Life Points and uses the second ability to sacrifice the X Head Cannon, and uses all three Monsters to summon Obelisk. However, Yugi activates his Hand-Sealing Sword of Light to lock Obelisk out of the Field for three turns from Kaiba's hand. BATTLE 253: God In Hand! Since the sacrifice failed, the Monsters are returned to their owners. Kaiba ends his turn. Yugi draws, places a card, changes all of his Monsters to defense mode, then ends his turn. Kaiba draws, and plays a Y Dragon Head (4/1500/1600). It combines with the X Head Cannon to form the XY Dragon Cannon (2200/2400). All that is left is the Z part. Kaiba attacks and destroys the Kuribo. Kaiba's turn isn't over, as he uses the Heavenly Edict Magic card. HEAVENLY EDICT Name a level 8 or higher Monster. If that card is in your opponent's deck, pay 1000 Life Points and put it into your hand. Kaiba names Osiris. Yugi pulls it from his deck and gives it to Kaiba. Of course, Yugi still has a placed card. He activates it, which is Exchange. Yugi grabs the Osiris card from Kaiba's hand/ BATTLE 254: The Method To Call God! Yugi grabbed Osiris, but Kaiba grabbed the Shortened Life Trap card. SHORTENED LIFE Trap Your opponent puts a number of cards from his or her hand into his or her Cemetery equal to the number of turns this card was Reversed. Yugi draws and plays a Big Shield Guarder (4/100/2600), places a card, and ends his turn. Kaiba draws, places a card, and summons a Z Metal Caterpillar (4/1500/1300). It combines with the XY Dragon cannon to form the WYZ Dragon Cannon. It attacks and destroys the Big Shield Guarder. However, Yugi was waiting for him to destroy the Guarder. Yugi activates his placed card, Line of the Soul. LINE OF THE SOUL Trap Activate when 1 of your Monsters is destroyed. Pay 1000 Life Points and Special Summon a level 4 or less Monster from your deck. Yugi pays the Life Points (Y's LP: 3000), and Special Summons the Kings Knight from his deck. KINGS KNIGHT 4/1600/1400 If the King and Queen are on the Field, play a Jack from your deck. Yugi brings a Jacks Knight into play. During Yugi's turn, he sacrifices all three to play Osiris. BATTLE 255: The Confrontation! Obelisk! Osiris's attack and defense strengths are 3000. Since Kaiba's seen Yugi's hand, he knows what else is coming. Yugi knows that Kaiba has the Shortened Life card placed. If he attacks, Yugi's hand will be reduced by one, and Osiris' attack strength will drop by 1000. Yugi attacks the XYZ anyway, and Kaiba activates the Emergency Teleporter. EMERGENCY TELEPORTER Magic Remove 1 Monsters from the Field. Is doesn't matter if it's your opponent's Monster. The XYZ disappears, sending Osiris' attack at the stands (and destroying faceless spectators in the process), effectively negating Kaiba's attack. Yugi then places a card from his hand, and ends his turn. The time limit for the Hand-Sealing Sword of Light ends, sending Obelisk back to Kaiba's hand. He sacrifices the XYZ (which counts as three Monsters), and summons Obelisk. BATTLE 256: Osiris vs. Obelisk! Kaiba has summoned Obelisk. However, since a Monster has been summoned, Osiris' Summon Lightning Impact is activated. Obelisk's attack strength is reduced by 2000. Kaiba places a card, and ends his turn. Yugi draws, and Obelisk's attack strength returns to 4000. Yugi ends his turn. Obelisk attacks Osiris. Yugi activates the Jar of Greed, drawing two cards, bumping Osiris' attack strength to 5000. Kaiba retaliates by activating Shortened Life, reducing Yugi's hand by one. Both Obelisk's and Osiris' attack strengths are equal, which means that they destroy each other. BATTLE 257: Fated Memories! God cards destroying themselves aren't without repercussions. The destruction results in an explosion that encompasses the upper portion of the Duel Tower and island. Malik, who has been watching the battle, sees that his Millennium Rod glowing, which release more of Kaiba's memories. Yugi and Kaiba are taken to ancient Egypt to watch a conflict of two people that look to be themselves. Upon returning to the real world, Kaiba and Yugi renew themselves to defeat one another. BATTLE 258: The Servant That God Answers! The vision gives Yugi and Kaiba more of a reason to defeat each other. Meanwhile, Malik wonders what they saw. Kaiba places a card. He knows that he has to defeat Yugi with a true God card, Blue Eyes White Dragon. He ends his turn. Yugi draws and plays a Baffomett. Kaiba then activates his placed card, Clone Replication. CLONE REPLICATION Trap Activate when your opponent summons a Monster. Copy that Monster and summon it to your Field. Kaiba copies the Baffomett. Yugi puts the Baffomett in defense mode, places a card, and ends his turn. Kaiba draws, and plays the "Cost Down" card. COST DOWN Magic Reduce the level of a Monster card in your hand by 2. This effect lasts 1 turn. Kaiba sacrifices the Baffomett and summons Blue Eyes. He attacks and destroys the Baffomett. Kaiba ends his turn. Yugi draw, and plays Raise Dead. The Black Magician is summoned into play. Kaiba surmises that was the card that he had discarded through the Shortened Life card. And the battle scene looks much like the tablet at the museum. BATTLE 259: The Deck of Glass! Yugi places a card, which is the Magician's Tome, and ends his turn. The battle will begin with Kaiba attacks. Kaiba draws, and plays the Life Shortening Cards. LIFE SHORTENING CARDS Magic Draw cards until you have 5 cards in your hand. Five turns later, discard your hand. Kaiba places a card. He knows that one of the cards that Yugi has placed has to be the Hexagram Curse. Kaiba then plays the Lord of Dragons in defense mode, which means that Blue Eyes can't be affected by magical effects. Kaiba ends his turn. Yugi draws and attacks the Lord of Dragons. Kaiba activates the Mechanical Magic Mirror. MECHANICAL MAGIC MIRROR Trap Activate when your opponent attacks. Activate 1 Magic card from your opponent's Cemetery. Kaiba chooses to activate Raise Dead, bringing Obelisk back into play. The Black Magician runs headlong into it, but bounces off its defense strength (Y's LP: 1500). Yugi places a card and ends his turn. Kaiba draws, and plays Dragon-Calling Horn, Special Summoning his two other Blue Eyes into play. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Fin.
