Hrzic III http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Alley/2247/Yugioh.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------- Battle 197: One of Life and Death! Yugi's Gilfar Demon just finished burning away the Rocket Warrior (J's LP: 2400). Seto stands, helpless, looking at both situations. The Ghouls still have Mokuba, and at the rate of the duel, both Jounouchi and Yugi will die. Jounouchi draws a "Demon's Roll", Yugi chimes in to Jounouchi about what they fought at the Duelist Kingdom for. Jounouchi places two cards, puts his Panther Warrior, and ends his turn. Malik is frustrated at Jounouchi's actions, and then says: "It can't be... He's fighting Yugi not only under my control?" Yugi attacks the Panther Warrior with the Gilfar Demon, when Jounouchi actives both an Angel's Roll and a Demon's Roll. Yugi activates a "Magic Destroyer", negating the Angel's Roll. The Demon's Roll ends up as "1", meaning that the Gilfar Demon's attack is not changed. It burns away the Panther Warrior. (J's LP: 700). There barely any time left and Seto realizes that he has to do something. He draws the top card from his Duel Disk and tosses it at the Ghoul that is holding Mokuba. The card buries itself in the Ghoul's hand, promptly dropping Mokuba. Seto then quickly dispatches the rest of them, retrieves the Blue Eyes that he threw. Jounouchi then draws the Death Meteor (Do 1000 damage to your opponent). Battle 198: The Fight Beyond Friendship! After a flood of memories, Yugi realizes that it isn't Jounouchi he's fighting, but Malik. With final goading from Malik, Jounouchi plays the Death Meteor. As it's about to his, Jounouchi screams, "Don't die, Yugi!" Yugi nods, realizing that he had freed Jounouchi's mind. Yugi activates the "Spirit's Mirror", halting the Death Meteor from impacting. With these final events, Malik is burned away from Jounouchi's mind. Jounouchi, oblivious to what is going on, asks why they're fighting. Yugi says, "You're my most precious friend. Jounouchi... I love you." In the final moment, Yugi commands the Spirit's Mirror to target himself with the Death Meteor. The attack lands, and Yugi falls unconscious. At that instant, the key box at Jounouchi's feet opens up. Jounouchi has fifteen seconds to free himself. He's wondering how t save Yugi, when he begs Red Eyes to attack him. Red Eyes responds, reducing his LP to 0. Yugi's key box opens. Battle 199: Our Treasure Jounouchi forgoes his key, swings across to Yugi. Just as he grabs the key, the timer hits 0, and the anchors are dropped into the water. Jounouchi unlocks Yugi's handcuff, and tries to open his, but the key won't fit. Meanwhile, Mai is scaring the living daylights out of Honda and company with her driving. Yugi is rescued by Mokuba, and in an uncharacteristic move for Seto, he picks up Jounouchi's key and drops it in the water. Jounouchi is reaching his limit, when he sees the key float down in front of his face. Jounouchi surfaces, and after a small spat with Seto, returns Yugi's Millennium Puzzle. Battle 200: The Courage to See Mai and company arrive at the pier. And even though they brought Shizuka with them, Jounouchi screams that they shouldn't have done something so idiotic. There's no way he can give her courage with the pitiful state he's in, after fighting Yugi. Honda states that he's taking it all wrong - Shizuka is there to give him courage. With that, Shizuka is no longer afraid to see, and removes her bandage. Kaiba solemnly walks away, telling the "Yugis" that they have shown him the answer. The final tournament awaits all of them. Battle 201: The Final Challengers! As they all get ready to go and are on their way, Anzu gets a call from Sugoroku: Bakura has disappeared from the hospital. Meanwhile, Malik and Rishid wait at Domino Stadium, for the rest of the challengers to show up. He tells Rishid, "If I should lose to Yugi...If I should fail in my father's duty, you are to kill me." At that time, Kaiba and Mokuba arrive by helicopter at the Domino Stadium. In another portion of Domino City, Bakura soundly defeats Ghost Kotsuzuka, and wins his final Puzzle Cards. Yugi and company arrive by Mai's car at the stadium. As they get their entrance ID cards, Bakura makes his surprise entrance. Battle 202: The Place of the Final Battle As the crew screams for Bakura to get back to the hospital, Malik (in the "guise" of Nam) shows up. Anzu and Bakura introduce him, but Yugi and Jounouchi have a bad feeling about the young man. Rishid then shortly makes his entrance. The tournament organizer then announces the location of the final battle - in a blimp above the city. After all have entered the blimp, the final contender approaches - a woman in white. She enters and the blimp takes off. Battle 203: The First Opponent! As the contenders take up their rooms, it is a time for contemplation: Yugi puts the Osiris in his deck; Malik thinks of revenge; Kaiba tests his deck; Mai has some wine; Bakura eats what appears to be a raw steak; Rishid meditates; everyone else parties in Jounouchi's room (much to his distress). In the time to decide the first bout, it turns out to be Bakura versus Yugi. Battle 204: The Dormant One! The Dark Bakura makes his appearance again. Yugi surmised as much; the Dark Bakura wasn't destroyed during the Monster World game (around 19 volumes ago). Unknown to Yugi, Malik is helping Bakura in his mind. As long as their deal goes through, there is nothing to worry about. Bakura starts with a Possessed Painting (4/1200/1500) in attack mode. Yugi summons Baffomett (4/1400/1800) and obliterates the Painting (B's LP: 3800). He places a card and ends his turn. Bakura puts down a Demon Sleeper (4/1300/1800) in attack mode and ends his turn. Yugi plays Magnet Warrior Gamma (4/1500/1800) and destroys it. He then directly attacks with the Baffomett (B's LP: 2200). Bakura plays a Headless Knight in attack mode (4/1450/1700) and ends his turn. As everyone wonders how Bakura could be so weak, Yugi destroys his monster again, and directly attacks him (B's LP: 750). Bakura finally announces his trump card: a monster that has a special summon by sacrificing three monsters in his Cemetery to be removed from the game that haven't been destroyed for more than five turns. And he summons Dark Necrophia (8/2200/2800; Has a dormant power that can affect an opponent's monster). Battle 205: A Begrudged Soul! Bakura places a card. Yugi draws. He sacrifices the Baffomett, and summons the Black Magician Girl. Even though its attack strength isn't high enough to destroy Necorphia, Yugi activates his placed card, the Magician's Tome, upping the Girl's attack strength by 500, to 2500. She promptly destroys Necrophia. But thanks to that, Necrophia's special ability can be activated. Yugi attempts to attack with Gamma, but something attacks Yugi THROUGH Gamma, and stops its attack. Bakura states that spirit of the marionette that Necrophia had possesses one of Yugi's monsters each turn. When that monster attacks, its attack is stopped, Yugi loses Life Points equal to half the monster's attack strength (Y's LP: 3250), and Bakura restores that many Life Points (B's LP: 1200). Not only that, when Necrophia was destroyed, Bakura activated his card, the permanent Magic-Trap card, Ouija Board (Activate when a Dark Necrophia goes to the Cemetery. Each turn, that soul spells out one letter of D-E-A-T-H. When all five letters have been spelled out, your opponent loses). The first letter, D, appears above the field. Bakura plays Dark Corridor (Your opponent can only attack with one monster per turn), and plays an Earthbound Spirit in defense mode. Yugi plays a Kuribo in defense mode, and attacks with the Black Magician Girl. Unfortunately, the marionette was possessing her at the time (Y's LP: 2000, B's LP: 2450). And then the next letter of the Ouija Board, E, appears above the Field. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fin.
