Hrzic III http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Alley/2247/Yugioh.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------- Battle 179: Go With All of Your Power! The other Bakura is waiting for Malik when he arrives at the Aquarium. They have a long long about the Millennium Items. Bakura's true interest in the Millennium Items is revealed once he has all of the Items, an enormous power, demonic in nature, will be his. Malik remarks to himself that Bakura has no idea what he is getting into. Bakura senses that Malik is hiding something. Malik proposes a deal. Since Malik's only interest in Yuugi is killing him for the death of his father, he tells Bakura that he will give him all of the Items once Battle City is over, if Bakura helps him in his plan. Malik gives Bakura five minutes to think about it. Inside of the Aquarium, Ryouta has just used the "Tidal Wave" on Jounouchi. Ryouta is angry for having to fight such a crappy duelist. Jounouchi places a card. Ryouta attacks, and Jounouchi activates the "Pit Trap" Trap card. Unfortunately, the Pit Trap doesn't work on monsters that can fly, like Ryouta's Flying Fish. (J's LP: 3200). Ryouta places a card, then scolds Jounouchi for only playing with half of his skill. "Whatever opponent I battle, I fight will all of my strength!" Jounouchi understands, and makes the vow, starting then. He summons a "Wyvern Warrior" (4/1500/1200), and places two cards. Ryouta sacrifices the "Flying Fish" and summons a "Fisher Beast" (6/2400/2000). He attacks the Wyvern Warrior, but Jounouchi activates the "Monster Box" Trap, hiding his Wyvern in a machine like the "Wack-A-Moles" game. Ryouta then responds by activating the "Sea" Magic card, filling the field with water. Seeing the air bubbles from one of the holes of the Monster Box, the Fisher Beast attacks. Jounouchi then activates the "Demon's Roll" Trap, dividing the Beast's Attack by 4. The Beast is destroyed (R's LP: 3100). Ryouta smiles, and says to himself, "Heh, heh! He did it!" Battle 180: Two Who Fear the Sea! Jounouchi has just destroyed the Fisher Beast. Ryouta is simply waiting for the right time to unleash his newest tactic, "Sea Stealth II". Jounouchi draws a "Fusion" Magic card. Anzu wonders why Jounouchi hasn't attacked, but Sugoroku tells her that Jounouchi's Warrior and Animal Warrior monsters can't cross the "Sea" field card. He plays a "Baby Dragon" and "Fusion", turning the Dragon and Wyvern into "Dragon-Riding Wyvern" (1700/1500). It field across the field and attacks Ryouta directly (R's LP: 1400). (EDO'S NOTE: I think that there is a mistake here. Fusion monsters aren't supposed to be able to attack during the turn that they are fused in the Battle City Tournament.) Ryouta has a flashback of he (younger) and his father as they were fishing. Ryouta quickly plays two cards, and ends his turn. Jounouchi can't see what he played. He is also trying to figure out Ryouta's tactics, being reminded the Duel Kingdom battle with Yuugi. Jounouchi attacks with the Wyvern, but Ryouta activates the "Tornado Wall" permanent Trap, protecting him from Jounouchi's attack. Ryouta quickly plays another card that Jounouchi can't see. Jounouchi attacks again, but Ryouta activates the Tornado Wall card again. Jounouchi thinks that Ryouta has no monsters, but suddenly his Wyvern is destroyed (J's LP: 2850). Jounouchi can't see where the attack is coming from. Jounouchi plays a "Little Winguard" (4/1400/1800) in Defense mode. Ryouta's turn comes, and Jounouchi watches the water for the attack. The Winguard is destroyed, and Jounouchi still can't see where the attack is coming from. Jounouchi places a card, then summons a "Rocket Soldier" (4/1500/1300) in Defense mode. During Ryouta's turn, he sacrifices two of his monsters, and summons a "Fortress Whale" (7/2350/2150). Outside, Malik tells Bakura that his time is up, and wants his answer. Bakura pulls out a knife and licks the blade, saying "This is my answer." Battle 181: Water Capture!! Bakura laughs loudly as he cuts open his arm, and drops the knife into the water. They both agree to the terms, and Bakura collapses. Inside the Aquarium, Ryouta comments on the fierce power of the ocean. Jounouchi says the he has at least one monster to protect him from the Whale's attack, but suddenly his Soldier is destroyed by the unseen enemy, and the Whale attack him directly (J's LP: 300). Jounouchi thinks about where the unseen monster can be attacking from. It's not in the water. However, the Killer Whale in the pool adjacent to their battle leaps into the air from the tank. Jounouchi the realizes. He draws a card, then places two of them. He then summons a "Panther Warrior" (4/2000/1600). Ryouta summons a "Sea Snake" (4/1500/1200) in Defense mode. Ryouta is about to attack. He waits, then when the Killer Whale jumps out of the tank, Jounouchi activates his "Magic Arm Shield", grabbing the "Legendary Fisherman" (4/1850/1600) that had been hiding in the tank. The Whale destroys the Fisherman (R's LP: 900). The Panther Warrior is about to be drowned by the attack, but Jounouchi activates the "Chained Boomerang" Trap. The chain wraps itself around the horn of the whale, and the Panther leaps on top of it. Battle 182: Warrior's Gamble! Ryouta tells Jounouchi that the Whale's attack (2550) is still greater than the Panther's (2500). Jounouchi orders the Panther to attack. It stabs the Whale, but the Whale spins around, throwing the Panther off. However, the Panther's sword is still stuck in the Whale's hide. Jounouchi then activates the "Lightning Sword" Magic card. A bolt of lightning drops from the sky, destroying the Whale and all of Ryouta's other monsters (R's LP: 150). Ryouta plays "Restore Life", putting a monster of his into play in Attack mode (hidden by the sea). Jounouchi draws, and plays the "Cyclone" Magic card, removing the Sea from play, revealing that Ryouta had revived the "Legendary Fisherman". Ryouta tells himself "This is the only card... I can't leave it in the Cemetery..." Jounouchi attacks and destroys the Fisherman (R's LP: 0). Battle 183: The Duel Motive! Jounouchi demands to know why Ryouta didn't bring the Whale back into play. Ryouta says that he lost, so it doesn't really matter. Jounouchi tells him that it does. Whenever Ryouta plays the Sea, he always uses the "Legendary Fisherman", as it reminds him of his father. Ryouta says, "I still believe... That my dad is living somewhere out on the sea... So... I can't leave it in the Cemetery..." He tells him that since he lost, he doesn't have a need for such things anymore. Jounouchi tells him that he is wrong about that. "If we have the heart of a Duelist, we can always fight if we have something to believe in." Ryouta tells him that the Fisherman's level and statistics aren't high by Battle City standards, but it is his most precious card, and that he is giving it to Jounouchi. He truly doesn't need the card anymore, because he will always be fighting with his father in spirit. Jounouchi gains his final puzzle card and the Legendary Fisherman and Fortress Whale cards. Malik is waiting outside, and it's time for the acting to begin. Jounouchi and company exit the Aquarium, Malik is there, helping Bakura to walk. Bakura is confused, as he doesn't know why he is there, or why his arm is wounded. To men appear, one of them the owner of the Duel Disk that the other Bakura stole. They knock Malik down, but Jounouchi makes short work of the both of them. Sugoroku takes Bakura to the hospital. Malik introduces himself as "Namu". As all of them are walking away, Malik gets a message from one of the members of the tag duel (the one that Seto and Yugi fought immediately after the Pantomime Duel). He says that they could not defeat the holder of a God card. Malik says to not worry, as two other Rare Hunters have decks to seal the God cards. Battle 184: Death-Duel Area! Two figures watch Yugi and Seto walk through the streets. Yugi asks Seto why he wants the god cards. He responds that he will then be the best duelist in the world. Mokuba calls Seto, telling him that Jounouchi has been found at the Domino Shipyards. Yugi tells him that he will only fight Seto after they get there to help Jounouchi. As they walk, one of the figures makes his way down the building by jumping from place to place. He carries a large lock-like device. As Seto nears his hiding place, he jumps out and attaches it to his Duel Disk. He tells them that someone has the key. He points to the roof, where the other figure is holding out a key. The smaller figure goes back to the roof the same way that he came down. On the roof, they meet "Light Mask" (the smaller one), and "Dark Mask" (the taller one). Dark Mask gives Seto the key to unlock his disk. Light Mask explains the rules. The duel will be a two on two Tag Duel. The glass panes that they are standing on each have a bomb has been attached to them. If a player's LP drops to 0, the bomb detonates, destroying the glass and sending the losers down thirty floor drop to their death. Likewise, if they make too many sudden movements (like trying to get off of the glass), the bomb will detonate. Battle 185: God, Help Me! Light Mask starts with placing two cards. Yugi summons Magnet Warrior Beta (4/1700/1600) in Defense mode, commenting that all players cannot attack during their first turn. Dark Mask summons "Shine Abyss" (4/1600/1800) in Defense mode. Light Mask then activates a Magic Card "Mask of Atrocity", increase Abyss' Attack to 2300. Seto places a card, then summons "Blood Vols" (4/1900/1200). Light Mask draws, then places "Mask of Powerlessness" on Beta, preventing it from attacking, or evening protecting its player, and doing 500 damage to the monster's player during each of his or her turns. He then places a card. Yugi loses 500 LP (Y's LP: 3500), and draws "Dark Magic Gilfar Demon" (6/2200/2500). Yugi is about to sacrifice, when Light Mask activates the "Sacrifice-Sealing Mask", preventing Yugi and Seto from sacrificing to summon monsters. Yugi plays a Kuribo in Defense mode, and ends his turn. Dark Mask attacks Seto's Vols, but Seto activates the "Destruction Ring" Trap card. Light Mask counters by activating "Cursed Reflection", sending the Ring on Seto's Vols. It is destroyed, and Seto loses 1900 LP (S's LP: 2100). Shine Abyss finishes its attack, but Yugi activates the "Multiplication" Magic card, guarding Seto from Dark Mask's attack. Battle 186: Monster of Unity! Yugi tells Seto that they cannot win unless they play as a team, rather than try to win by themselves. Seto draws a Blue Eyes White Dragon, but cannot summon it due to the Sacrifice-Sealing Mask. He places a card, then summons "Gadget Soldier" (4/1800/2000) in Defense mode. Light Mask plays "Mask of Loss", destroying the effect of Multiplication, and doing 300 damage to its owner during each of his or her turns. He summons "Cursed Gyura" (4/1500/800) and destroys the Kuribo. Yugi's turn comes next, and he loses 800 LP (Y's LP: 2700). He doesn't see a way out of this, when Seto does a brilliant move of kibitzing. SETO: Heh, heh, heh... What's wrong, Yugi? It doesn't look like you have a level four or less monster card in your hand... It doesn't look like you can play a monster card this turn... If we can't sacrifice to summon, we'll have to get them from the Cemetery... Yugi realizes what he means, and by that, which card that he has placed. Yugi places a card, then ends his turn. Dark Mask places "Masked Beast Ritual", sacrificing the Cursed Gyura and Abyss to summon "Masked Hellraiser" (Attack 3200). Yugi doesn't have a monster in play, so Dark Mask attacks him. Seto throws his Gadget Soldier in the way. Seto's turn comes up, and Yugi activates the "Hand Obliteration" Magic card, each player discarding his or her hand, then drawing the same number of cards. Seto then actvates "Raise Dead", bringing his "Blue Eyes White Dragon" (8/3000/2500) into play that he discarded due to Hand Obliteration. Battle 187: True Unity! Seto has just brought Blue Eyes into play. However, Light Mask tells them that Blue Eyes' Attack is still less than the Masked Hellraiser's. Yugi tells Kaiba to attack anyway, just to have a little faith in what he says. Seto attacks, and ends up destroying the Hellraiser (D's LP: 3700). Everyone is screaming how he did it, when Yugi reveals that he activated the effect of his Gilfar Demon. When it's in the Cemetery, one monster's attack is decreased by 500. Light Mask plays "Melkid Four-Faced Beast" (4/1500/1200) in Defense mode. Yugi's turn is next, and he loses 800 LP (Y's LP: 1900). He places a card, and summons Magnet Warrior Alpha (4/1400/1700), and attacks and destroys the Melkid. Dark Mask summons "Temptress Nuvia" (4/2000/800), and attacks Blue Eyes. Light Mask activates "Mask of Weakness" on Blue Eyes, reducing its Attack by half. Yugi then activates "Spirit Mirror", sending it back on Nuvia. Blue Eyes destroys Nuvia (D's LP: 1700). Dark Mask calls Light Mask a "Shrimp", something that Light Mask obviously doesn't like. Yugi tells Seto that this is the power of unity. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fin.
