Hrzic III http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Alley/2247/Yugioh.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------- Battle 170: The Pressuring God!! The Kaiba Corporation workers are searching for the God cards by scanning the decks of the players who are in the tournament. They have not found them yet. Mailk gets ready to go out on his own. He takes the deck with the "Ra" card in it, gets on his motorcycle, and drives into the city. He is going to use a "Doll" (possess someone) in order to fight Yugi while en route. In the park, the mime (controlled by Malik) opens his bag, grabs a duel disk, and runs off into the distance. Both Yugis are talking about the Millennium Puzzle while waiting for Jounouchi to show up. Then the mime shows up, Yugi recognizes it as a Rare Hunter. And this Rare Hunter has the "Osiris" God card. Battle 171: Millennium Showdown!! Yugi and "Malik" begin the duel. Malik starts with placing a card, then playing "Humanoid Slime" (4/800/2000). Yugi places a card, then plays "Gazeru" (4/1500/1200) and ends his turn. Malik plays "Worm Drake" (4/1400/1500). He then plays "Fusion", and fuses both monsters into "Humanoid Drake" (2200). Normally, a fused monster cannot attack on the turn it is fused, but Malik activates his placed card, "Swift Attack", allowing it to attack the Gazeru. Yugi anticipated the card play, and reveals his placed card, "Fusion Cancel", splitting the monsters back into two, and allow the Gazeru to attack the Slime (M's LP: 3300). Battle 172: Nightmare Summon Yugi draws a "Buster Blader", but plays "Magnet Warrior Beta" (4/1700/1600). He destroys the Drake with Gazeru (M's LP: 3200). Malik plays "Revival Slime" (4/1500/500) in Defense mode, then plays a Field card, "Slime Creator" that will give Malik a slime each turn, though he can't summon any other monsters. Unknown to Yugi, Malik already has Osiris in his hand. Yugi sacrifices Beta and Gazeru to summon "Buster Blader" (8/2600/2300). He attacks the Revival Slime and destroys it, but it comes back into play. Malik gains a slime from the machine during his turn, then plays "Nightmare Cage" on Yugi. It prevents his from attacking for 3 turns (but also prevents him from being attacked). Two more turns go by, with Yugi unable to do anything, when Malik destroys the Machine, and sacrifices the three slimes. "Yugi, behold... This is Osiris..." The sky goes dark, and Osiris is summoned from the sky. Battle 173: Combo of Despair!! Osiris has been summoned, and Malik gloats. SAINT DRAGON - THE GOD OF OSIRIS ********** ATTACK X000 DEFENSE X000 Everytime the opponent summons creature to the field, the point of the player's card is cut by 2000 points. X stands for the number of the player's cards in hand. Osiris' Attack and Defense is 3000. Since Osiris is a dragon, Blader's attack is increased by 500 (to 3100). Yugi places two cards, then summons a Kuribo (2/300/200) in Defense mode. The cage dissolves. Malik draws, and Osiris' is increased to 4000. It attacks the Buster Blader, but Yugi activates one of his placed cards, "Hand Sealing Sword of Light", dropping Osiris' to 3000. Buster Blader is about to destroy it when the Revival Slime jumps in the way. Malik activates the "Defend Slime" permanent Trap card which allow him to change the target of an attack to a slime. The slime regenerates, then Malik activates the permanent Magic card "Repayment of Life", which allows him to draw 3 cards whenever a monster is brought back into play. Osiris is increase to 5000. Malik destroys the Blader (Y's LP: 2100). At this time, Seto is informed of who has the Osiris card, and that person is dueling Yugi. Battle 174: God Combo!! Yugi draws the "Magic Cylinder" Magic card. He sacrifices the Kuribo to summon the "Black Magician Girl" (6/2000/1700) in Defense mode. At this time, Malik tells him about Osiris' other power: it can attack whenever his opponent summons a monster. If the monster is summon in attack mode, it is an attack for 2000 damage (reducing its attack by 2000); if the monster is in Defense mode it reduces the Defense by 2000 (if reduced to 0 or less, it is destroyed). Before the attack hits, Yugi plays "Magic Silk Hat", hiding the Girl from being destroyed. Yugi places another card, then ends his turn. Malik draws, then plays the "Endless Hand" permanent Magic card, allowing him to have as many cards in his hand as he wants. Osiris is 5000. Osiris attacks the Hat that the Girl is in, so Yugi activates the "Magic Cylinder" magic card, redirecting the attack back at Osiris, then activates the "Hexagram Curse" Trap card, reducing Osiris to 4300. However, he throw the Revival Slime in the way of the attack. Malik draws three cards. The Curse ends automatically, and Osiris is now at 9000. It destroys the Girl. Yugi sees no way to win, and almost collapses when Seto tells him to stand up. Battle 175: Duelist Potential Seto has faith in Yugi's abilities that he can defeat the God card. Yugi finds a renewed sense of purpose, and starts his next turn. He plays "Big Shield Guarder" (4/100/2600) in Defense mode. Osiris' effect is initiated, and the Guarder's Defense is reduced by 2000. Malik draws, and Osiris is now 10000. Malik says that Osiris' power is unrivaled, but that gets Seto to thinking, and tells Yugi that Osiris' power is not unlimited (NOTE: the words for "unrivaled" and "unlimited" are the same in Japanese). Osiris destroys the Guarder, and Yugi finally understands what Seto was saying. Yugi draws his card and tells Malik "I've won." Yugi plays "Raise Dead" and brings Buster Blader back into play in Attack mode. Malik can't believe it. Battle 176: God Change?! Since Blader was brought back into play, Malik draws three cards, bringing Osiris to 13000. Osiris' effect reduces Blader's attack to 1100. Yugi still won't put Blader into Defense mode, and attacks Osiris. Malik takes the bait, and throws the Revival Slime in the way. Yugi reveals that his target had been the Slime all along. He activates "Brain Control". Malik laughs, thinking that he is going to try and gain control of Osiris. Yugi gains control of the Slime as it is reforming. Since it has come back into play, Malik draws three cards. However, since it was summoned back into play by Yugi, Osiris destroys it with its effect. Then it comes back into play. Malik has to draw three cards. Osiris destroys it. Is comes back into play. Malik has to draw three cards. That infinite loop is repeated. In the end, Osiris' is at 28000, but nothing can be done, and Malik eventually draws his entire deck. Battle 177: Attack That Opponent!! Yugi has defeated the Malik possessed Rare Hunter, and it collapses. Mokuba, as the referee, gives Yugi the Osiris card. Seto is prepared to battle Yugi when the Hunter stands back up. Malik tells Yugi that he is going after Jounouchi next. Yugi starts to run, when Seto reprimands him for running. Yugi tells him that it isn't the time to fight, as he has to save Jounouchi. As he runs, he encounters two Rare Hunters in the way. Yugi is trying to get through them when Seto challenges them to a tag match. Seto pulls out Obelisk and decimates the two Rare Hunters. Yugi had no idea that Seto had another one of the God cards. Battle 178: Each Other's Duel!! Jounouchi's been looking for someone to Duel. He has four puzzle cards. Bakura makes the comment that all of the cards that Jounouchi has gained so far are pretty grotesque. He also makes the note that he has a deck based upon an Occult Theme. Jounouchi makes the decision to never duel Bakura. Jounouchi uses the "Duelist Locator" on the Duel disk to find an opponent. Bakura changes when one of the arrows on the Millennium Ring moves to indicate that a Millennium Item is approaching. It leads them to the aquarium where they find Kajiki petting a Killer Whale. They make the decision to duel, each betting two rares and two puzzle cards. Jounuchi stars by placing a "Pitfall" Trap card, then "Randostar Swordsman" (3/500/1200). Kajiki plays a Flying Fish in Defense mode. Jounouchi draws, and sacrifices Randostar to summon Girutia...along with the Insect Parasite. Jounouchi had forgotten to remove it from his deck. Kajiki feels a little sick looking at the effect of that monster, and activates his "Tidal Wave" Trap that destroys all of Jounuchi's monsters. Malik arrives at the Aquarium to find Bakura waiting for him. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fin.
