All the beauty and wonder that the world has known has existed all along, yet we have seen it at times in our lives and societies only because people reached out for it and brought it from its hidden existence into reality. All of us can be limited by the circumstances and things we see in the world around us or we enlarge our lives by participating in a greater world that is the origin of Love, joy, peace, hope and faith. This greater world is where the grace and kindness of good conduct originate. It is the home of honesty, truth, honor, strength and true wisdom. It is the source of every esthetic beauty and charm that we are drawn to and long to surround ourselves with and to be. The world is so much bigger than what we see and the stakes are so much higher than we could ever imagine. Reach beyond what is seen to understand the truth and to see our lives and their conduct being so much more than ordinary. We are in the presence and company of greatness if we will just reach out and take if for our own.

I AM SURPRISED AT YOU! (not really) Well, did you really think I would go there explicitly? If we are honest with ourselves how can anyone not have a longing for something so intense and internally stirring especially when it is engaged in among those who are totally committed and dedicated in a life of serving the other and themselves together as one. Phewww... hold for a sec, I have to go turn the air down. There has been so much to destroy and marr this unique gift that God has given among man and woman that sometimes we cannot see through the cloud of smut and possibly terrible experiences that have been raised to distract us from the power and beauty that has been saturated in this sharing between husband and wife. Yes, girls talk (and so do guys), but I am not about to write anything down mind you! Now get along with you to the next topic.

CHILD LIKE
Do you remember how silly and crazy you got as a child dancing alone in your bedroom to the music on the stereo? Did you ever spend hours playing with your dolls and dressing them and contributing to all sides of a wonderfully interesting conversation? Have you ever felt the wonder and comfort from holding the softest warm cuddly rabbit in the whole wide world? I have... and so much more. The first goal of my life is to never loose (but rather develop) the love that exists in my heart, but the SECOND is to never loose the wonder and innocent playful curiousity of my youth.
The adult world is sometimes harsh and there are so many pressures that force their way into our lives that there is a strong tendency for us to build walls and defenses that in some cases are necessary but should not, as they sometimes do, become permanent. In order to go back to the wonder and innocence I believe we have to find those places and times when we feel safe that we might once again forget the bad things in the world and to just play. I love to just go "play" and though I do not get to go as often as I would like, I long to be able to do it as freely and carelessly as I did as a child.
INFANTILE
I remember holding my first child right after she was born and the awesome feeling that this new and perfect life was absolutely dependent on me to supply what she needed. It was one of those times that reach into the very core of your being and change you for the good. I cherish the feeling of wanting, hoping and begging God that I might be able to do everything she needed me to do for her because I want to be able to love and pour myself out that completely.
On the other hand there are times when I feel so small, so inadequate and even scared that I long to have someone I can go to who will love me so totally as to wrap there presence, power and care about me and reassure me that they will make everything okay. Admittedly there are times that I have felt as helpless and weak as any newborn child, and thankfully there is one whom I can go to who loves me so completely that I never have to fear he will not open wide his arms, love and comforting presence and surround me with every comfort and protection. God is sooooooooooooooooooo good!

CAREER:
Managing Work So That It Doesn't Manage Us
After studying business for undergraduate and graduate degrees, after having devoted many years to achievement and success in the busines world, and after having suffered personal losses because of my narrow focus I can attest to the destructive nature and power of allowing work to be more than what it should be. Obviously by everything else you might read on this site work is not responsible for many of my particular difficulties, yet because of its prominent importance I had to deal many major difficulties at one time rather than a few. My current goal in this area is to balance it properly such that my career and work facilitates and supports the other areas of my life in which I gain strenght, which in turn replenishes my strength to do my work well. I want to control my work instead of how it has been of late, that is my work (and the authority figures in it) controlling me.
Security:
Hedging the Future In Our Favor
Is there really such a thing as SECURITY? I believe there is to some degree. I believe that we can be confident in our eternal lives and that no matter what we will face that it will be used four our good. But, beyond this there is little certainty from day to day other than that God will provide. I do rather ascribe to the idea that God does provide for those that take the time to provide for themselves. Certainly we can never eliminate all the terrible possibilities of what could happen to us, yet we can do much that would mitigate or eliminate many of the problems that we can expect to encounter in our journeys through this life and world. It is a wise thing to use the blessings of today against the problems of tomorrow. I am probably one of the worst to talk about this topic for though I have been educated in the ways of money, law and good sense I have been careless and niave at least until now. I would like to show by example how to take even the worst position and make it sound responibly again.
