Facts: Born in Canada and raised in New Brunswick and Massechusetts. Proud Irish girl. Ex-female co-chair of the Sexual Orientation Diversity Association. East coast denzien. Board game buff. Horror goddess. Appreciative of all things Food Network.
Erin stumbled upon our little group of malcontents in January of 2001 when she decided to attend a SODA meeting (Oklahoma State University's Gay/Straight Alliance.) She quickly became best friends with one of the sisters, Joseph Richardson and was slowly brought into the fold of our tight little group of friends. She has survived everything from goat stories to super drama. She marched in both the gay pride parades in Oklahoma City and in Tulsa (and kicking our asses into gear when we needed it...most of us being too hungover to even consider marching in the parade which sparked her sharp response "Do you think I'm doing this for myself here?!") Erin took over the female co-chair position in SODA after Adrie graduated and it couldn't have fallen to a more capable person. Erin loves Neil Gaiman and his Sandman comic book series as well as his novels (though American Gods is leaving her a trifle cold right now.) She's a huge Tori Amos and Ani DiFranco fan and she dances the fine line of goth and cute fashion exceedingly well.
Erin has since left the desolate backwaters of Oklahoma in search of prettier climates on the East Coast, specifically, Baltimore, Maryland. She and her brand spanking new hubby, Brandon, just got married in May of 2004 in front of an adoring crowd of friends and family.
Despite the distance between us, Erin is still one of my closest friends and one of the coolest, funniest, wittiest people I know. She's an awesome and loyal friend who honestly cares about the people in her life. We should all be lucky enough to have a friend like her.
