Apparate - Ability to make yourself move from place to place almost instantly

Auror - A person working for the Ministry of Magic who captures dark wizards

Azkaban - A wizard prison

Beater - A Quidditch player that must hit the Bludger with a wooden stick

Bezoar - A stone taken from the stomach of a goat that will save you from most poisons

Bludger - A large, jet black ball used in playing Quidditch

Boggart - Creature that turns into whatever you fear the most

Chaser - A Quidditch player that must score using the Quaffle

Daily Prophet - A newspaper of the wizarding world

Dementor - A tall, black, cloaked creature that can determine if you are evil.

Diagon Alley - A hidden street in London with wizard shops

Disapparate - Ability to remove yourself from somewhere

Dungbomb - Magical equivilent to the Muggles' stinkbombs

Galleon - A gold piece of wizard money (largest currency)

Gnome - A small, leathery looking creature with a large knobby, bald head

Gillyweed - A plant that allows you to breath underwater

Grim - A giant spectral dog that haunts graveyards

Gringott's - The Wizard's Bank, run by Goblins

Grunnings - A muggle company that makes drills; Harry's Uncle Dursley works here.

Hippogriff - Half horse, half bird with gleaming coats of different colors

Hogwarts - A school for witches and wizards

Hogwarts Express - The train that brings Hogwarts students to Hogwarts

Howler - A red letter that howls and screams

Invisibility Cloak - A cloak that makes anything beneath it invisible

Knut - A bronze piece of wizard money (smallest currency); 29 knuts = 1 sickle

Kwikspell - A course for squibs and others with poor magical powers that helps to improve their magical abilities

Maurader's Map - A map that shows every detail of the Hogwarts castle

Mudblood - A foul name for someone who is Muggle born

Muggle - A person with absolutely no magical powers

Quaffle - A large, red ball (about the size of the Muggle soccer ball)

Sickle - A silver piece of wizard money; 17 sickles = 1 galleon

Snitch - A small, golden ball with silver wings
