Matthew has sent me 2 sing-a-long guitar chords and tablature versions of the White Horses theme song in notepad text format. The song makes a great lullaby. The version in the key of F# is close to the recording. The version in key of C is a lot easier to play. Both versions are a fair and accurate representations of the song and capable of bringing back memories to thirty - forty somethings. |
The theme song of the UK version of The White Horses was specially written, and sung by Jacky (Jackie Lee). Called White Horses it made it to number 10 in the charts in 1968. The TV Cream website had an excellent mp3 music file that you could download, but it doesn't seem to be operational at the moment. Here are the URLs anyway. I have a different mp3 file. Beanos second-hand record shop in Croydon, London, often have a copy of White Horses as a vinyl single. Beanos is one of the biggest second-hand record shops so I doubt if others will have it. I have also been informed that there is a compilation CD called Cult Fiction volume 2 which has White Horses. I think this must be THIS IS THE RETURN OF CULT FICTION Virgin (EMI): VTCD 112 (CD) 1996 track 24. Andrea Ross has recorded the theme song on her album.
