What must I do to be saved

Yes! The Bible tells us in plain english God's simple plan for man's salvation.

Admit you are a sinner. "As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one" -Romans 3:10 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." -Romans 3:23

Realize that death is the penalty for our sin. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all have sinned." -Romans 5:12

Accept the fact that Jesus Christ died to pay for our sins. "But God commandeth his love toward us, in that. while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." -Romans 5:19

Realize that you can't earn your way to heaven, it is a free gift for accepting Jesus Christ as your savior. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -Romans 6:23 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." -Isaiah 64:6

Ask God ro receive the gift of salvation. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." -Romans 10:9

You will be judged for your own sin. "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him. The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." -John 12:48

You might make excuses. "Many will say to me int hat day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name have done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." -Matthew 7:22-23

You will be found guilty. "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." -Revelation 20:12 "And whosoever was not found in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." -Revelation 20:15

Realize that your fate is eternally sealed! "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out!" -John 6:37

Study the Bible to get to know God better. "Study to shew thyself approved unt God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15

Follow the Lord in baptism. "And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunich said, see, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Phillip said, if thou believest with all thine heart though mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Phillip and the eunich; and he baptized him." -Acts 8:36-38

Enjoy your new life in Christ. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." -2 Corinthian 5:17

Tell others about Christ. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." -Mark 16:1
