Bosnian flag

My name is Muhamed - Hamo. I am originally from Bosnia. In case if you don't know much about Bosnia,
it's a little country in Southern Europe, formerly known as one of the Republics of Yugoslavia.
Population is about 4 million. It is a small country, but... Bosnia is a very beautiful country with lots of
mountains, hills, rivers, lakes, and warm and friendly people. I originate from a little town in central Bosnia
called Gornji Vakuf.I had a great childhood and the best time of my life in Gornji Vakuf.
Here are some pictures of the town I love very much. The town that survived the horror of WAR(s).
As you can see, they have been damaged by the enemy's bombs during the War in Bosnia between
early 1990s and mid 1990s.

This picture below is what's left of once called "movie theatre". Pretty sad ha!?
Staro kino u carsiji(old theatre in downtown)

I came to the United States in August,1995. When I arrived here in the USA,
my first task was to learn English and get a job. It took me good 5-6 months to learn enough
English to be able to work.It was not easy, but I made it because I am a kind of person who does not
give up easily. My first job was at the restaurant called "Grindstone Charleys".
I worked there couple of months. My second job was at an Italian restaurant, The Olive Garden.
First at The Olive Garden, I started as a busser. Few months later my manager offered me a job in the kitchen.
I worked as a prep cook. Half a year later, I finally started working as a backup cook. I worked for The Olive Garden
about 3.5 years until I graduated from college and got a new job. The people I worked with at
The Olive Garden-Greenwood were really nice to me all the time and they are good friends.
Working atmosphare in the restaurant was fun and frustrating at the same time,
but nothing is perfect in this world, right? I guess that friendly atmosphare was the main reason why
I stayed and worked for The Olive Garden for 3.5 years. I graduated from IVY Tech State College
in December,1999. I majored in Computer Information Systems. Now,I work for a company
called "Automated Mailing Equipment" (AME).

I have one younger sister. She lives in Bosnia. She is at college, studying Law to be a lawyer someday.
All of my family lives in Bosnia except for my uncle and aunt(my aunt is my dad's sister).
They 've been here in the USA for over 13 years. I am married and my wife is from Tokyo, Japan.
We met on January 5th, 1998. She was a student when I met her and she graduated from university in May 1999.
I drive silver Mitsubishi Galant 1999. When I have free time I spend it with
my wife and friends. I enjoy basketball, swiming, FISHING, camping, hiking, playing pool, bowling,
and of course TRAVELLING. Travelling is my passion. That is the greatest thing that
one can experience(Travel to see new places, meet new people, learn new things,etc...)
So what are you waiting for? Go somewhere and have some FUN !!!
