MAHE

Well, this is it..... you just arrived at Mahe after a ten hours flight from Paris. I hope the flight wasn't too long. Just after landing, you will be directed to the immigration... no visa here!... you will be given one at arrival, just make sure you have enough money to cover your expenses ! Otherwise, your journey may end up just here. Prior to enter the airport lobby, notice on your right side, just by the bench, there's a small stone with my name on it... souvenir !

Your journey will begin here in the main Island of Mahe, since this is the only location with an international class airport. Most of the population live here in the capital, Victoria.

In spite of the fact that Mahe is by far the more crowded, you will never find as much tourits as in Hawaii, authorities make sure to regulate the inflows of voyagers to preserve the typical atmosphere of the region. By the way, Seychelles are very expensive...

One of the finest hotels on the island are the Beauvallon, the Reef...... Why ? cause that's where I went, a little subjective indeed.

Seychelles cuisine is caribbean alike, fine and spicy..

SkipperYou will find a plethora of beaches, each one having its own personality, sand, colour of water.... You can find exotic shells at sight, don't need to be a navy seal... Just follow this lovely skipper !

Make sure you rent one of this,$80 us/day...

A little bit expensive for what it is,
but it turned to be very usefull... Please drive on the left, you don't want to have any problem with the local police.

This turtle lives in the pirate' island, a private island owned by an old englishman who decided to flee civilisation. He oppened his islands to tourists and will be glad to chat with you about the ghosts and the lost treasury of his island.

Most of the giant turtles can be found in La Digue or Curieuse, an island located near Praslin. Curieuse is dedicated for animals and formely was an asylum for leppers. Aldabra Island is a bird paradise, check the map !

Now, we are on our way to Praslin Island, 15 minutes by plane, from Mahe... you'll board on this tiny plane... I am sure you won't laugh at the pilot's jokes, since you will be too busy bracing yourself ! There's a life vest underneath each seat, and if you happened to land in the ocean (how ironic), just punch the windows and you will be good for a few breaststrokes to the shore. Sometimes there is not enough oxygen for everybody so while the guys on the left row are breathing, the others are holding their breath and vice-versa.. (click on the plane !)
