Welcome to my tropical pages NORTH SHORE and HALEIWA
We admired the scenery for awhile then decided we needed to eat. A local tourist magazine I had picked up said that the Kua Aina sandwich shop in Haleiwa had the best burger in town and I intended to find out if that was true. Actually it was one of the few burgers I ate the whole time I was in Hawaii so I ranked it right up there with the best! Mine was garnished with pineapple for a true taste of Hawaii. We didn't take the time to explore the town but it looked interesting, lots of shops and restaurants.
![]() We took our burgers to another local park where there was a girl's soccer game going on, sat at the picnic benches there and admired the gorgeous green mountains in the distance.
![]() After lunch we set off to admire the scenery on the other side of the island. We drove along past the Pipeline and lots of interesting little towns, all along the northern and eastern sides of Oahu. There were great views of the ocean thru palm trees and those imposing mountains were always in view on our right side. It was a nice trip all around the island and it only took one day. Plenty of time to have dinner then rest up for the next day's adventures.
