Phi Sigma Pi is unlike any other organization. We pride ourselves on a balance of Scholarship, Leadership and Fellowship. The closest comparison possible for Phi Sigma Pi is a combination of the best aspects of Greek life and student organizations. |
Each chapter of Phi Sigma Pi has their own unique identity and is active both on the national and the local level. Our chapter, Delta Beta, is one of the newest chapters in the organization. During our short history, we have established ourselves as a successful and prestigious chapter both locally and nationally. Our unique blend along with our coed brotherhood allows us to build on the strengths of many different backgrounds and offer our members numerous benefits. |
Phi Sigma Pi allows you to be surrounded by people who care as much about scholarship and fellowship as you do. We also stress leadership and try to help our members enhance their leadership skills. We have clothes and toy drives, invite speakers to the campus and participate in various other charitable events. Now the fun part: in addition to the aforementioned activities, we interact constantly with other chapters, either by visiting them or going to the National Convention. |
Today, over 20,000 students, alumni and faculty in 85 institutions nationwide have met the standards for membership in Phi Sigma Pi. |
The Purpose of Phi Sigma Pi! In carrying out the purpose of the National Fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi encourages three ideals: |
Phi Sigma Pi maintains a balance between the three ideals of scholarship, leadership and fellowship. |
What Do These Things Mean: |
Phi Sigma Pi is carefully balanced on the founding principles of scholarship, leadership and fellowship. Together, these principles form the Tripod of Phi Sigma Pi. We participate in and sponsor many diverse activities that support each leg of the Tripod. The tripod is made up of: Scholarship: To have achieved a 3.00 or above grade point average is fantastic, but it isn't enough. Learning beyond the classroom will give you the necessary edge you need for entering the job market and becoming a well rounded person. Leadership: Phi Sigma Pi members believe that leadership is developed through serving others on your campus and in your community. Campus and community service can be easy or difficult, whether you are collecting loose change for a local shelter or working hands-on to help other people. Either way you will be making a huge difference in your community. |
The acquisition and dissemination of information and knowledge through SCHOLARSHIP. The application of professional skills and the fostering of LEADERSHIP qualities by promoting and advancing the welfare of humanity. The fostering of non-discriminatory, fraternal FELLOWSHIP within Phi Sigma Pi's ranks |
Fellowship: It is very easy for us to get all of the chapter together because you have great grade point averages and because you wish to participate in service projects but, inevitably, something will be missing - FUN! Road trips, picnics, sporting events, formals - you name it, we do it! Phi Sigma Pi is a fraternity that allows you to have fun and build friendships that will last a lifetime. We all have a common bond: that bond is Phi Sigma Pi. |
