He was on the northern edge of a southeast facing old field that had many pockets of Blackberry, rose and thick mixed grasses. The nearby tree cover is mainly Poplar , Red Maple and American Holly with a ground cover and understory of Multflora rose, Blackberry, Sumac, Sassafras and mixed grasses and Goldenrod.
