He is in the middle of a small patch of Blueberries about 15 feet from a huge rotten pine log approx. 3' in diameter. The vegetation in the area is predominantly White pine with scattered Hemlock, White Oak, American Holly, Sassafras, Sourwood, Frasier Magnolia and Red Maple with an understory of mainly Blueberry and Pink Lady Slipper.
