Yes, it's true
So few see the beauty in you
Because when I bring up the subject of you
Oh so many say, "Yeah, Megavolt, he's cool"
But when I let them in on how I truly feel towards you
To them it seems to suddenly be all wrong
Sure, beauty's in the eye of the beholder
And some would say this beholder must be completely blind
Oh, how I am so glad to not be them
To be one who's not so inspired by you is a thought I dare not bear
But oh how poor and inadequate the very thought of you can make me feel
Thinking of the ways in which I could reach you
Well, some make me smile
Some make me grimace
Others make me sing
While the rest leave me with unmentionable expressions
Maybe it may seem as though I'm lagging in your fictional shadow
Oh, but how beautiful your shadow can be
It's so much brighter and safer than any other darkness I know of
True, you've been in roaming for longer than my reign
For odd reasons that too convinces some to frown
But fight around all convictions I will
It's more than worth it to be one with your life
How's it make thou feel
To be loved by a human male
Overjoyed, I hope, is the emotion it evokes from you
However, the sad truth we all know is that hope rarely gets results
As I turn on the TV
Will you strike another pose for me
Allow me to indulge in the fantasy of thee
No matter your thoughts of me
No matter their convictions
A boy can dream, can't he
Every time I see you plastered on paper
Or underneath glass
I like to pretend you're staring back
Even if you truly aren't
And my beliefs have fatal flaws
And the people I exist alongside despise my attraction towards you
Like I said
A boy can dream, can't he
A girl can dream, can't he
A boy can dream, can't he
